Rifling under my couch for my phone wasn't what I planned to do today.

Dropping my phone wasn't planned either.

JK is the reason for all of this happening. And I'll stand by this point if ever questioned about it.

I didn't mean to leave him on read, but my phone announces another text coming in from Jin. It seems he cleared his schedule for tomorrow and wants to know if I'd like to have brunch with him?

I mean, who says no to brunch? And with a guy as handsome and funny as Jin? I quickly reply with an emphatic yes and turn off my phone, grinning as I head to the bathroom to clean up for bed.

Tomorrow is going to be fun!

My phone's alarm goes off, and I grumble as I reach for it to turn it off.

Of course I forgot to turn my alarm for school off while on winter break. I'd also forget my cooking timer if it wasn't also my phone. <groan>

The dry wind outside rattles my window a bit, reminding me of just how cold it is. Thankfully Seoul isn't known for heaps of snow, but the biting wind still turns my cheeks red and raw if I go for long walks in it.

Found that out walking to the dorms for the k-pop marathon with my hands full of several coffees.

Instead of rolling over and going back to sleep I pull myself out of the warmth of my bed and scamper to the bathroom to get in a hot shower,  hoping I have enough time to dry my hair before Jin calls me to let me know it's time for our brunch date.

Squealing with glee at this thought I wiggle while brushing my teeth. I've never had a brunch date before! I wonder if it's like a dinner date? Will there be holding hands? Kisses at the door when we return to my place? Do I invite him in for a drink?

My blush hits me at this thought, thankfully covered by the steamy air from the shower. Alcohol might be too much this early in the day, but is coffee or tea really acceptable as a post date drink?

Actually, I've never been to brunch before.

As I towel off from getting clean I quickly browse the interwebs to see what is usually offered for brunch.

Wait, mimosas? Champagne? Long Island Iced Tea?

Yeah, I puzzled on that last one until I looked up how to make one.

Shrugging, I decided to let Jin order for me everything except alcohol, and started planning out my outfit for the day.

'JK was grumbling and mopey when I left. I think I might get him some food to go to help him feel better.' Jin says as he stuffs his mouth with a big piece of French toast.

'I wonder what made him so down? He seemed fine yesterday.' I respond while sipping on orange juice.

'He was saying something about waiting forever for a text back. Maybe he's hoping to collab with someone?' Jin suggests as he reaches for his flute of champagne.

My eyes widen as I glance down at my pocket where my phone is.

'Actually, I think he was expecting a reply from me. I was distracted by your text about being free today and your offer of a brunch date.' I admit.

'Well, you've got your priorities right! Me, and food, are much more important than that muscle bunny!' Jin cackles as he waves the waiter over to order more food to-go as a gift for his maknae.

****

His driver stops in front of my apartment complex, idling as I unbuckle to get out.

'I really enjoyed this date. I hope you had as much fun as I did.' Jin says gently, reaching out and holding my hand, bringing it up to his lips to softly kiss my knuckles.

'I did have fun. This was a new experience for me. I am glad I got to share it with you.' I say, blushing in response.

'I hope you don't wait long to go on another date with me. And not just winter dates either. Picnics, hiking, canoeing, fishing!' He grins enthusiastically.

'They all sound like an adventure. I will be patient and wait for warmer weather, but those sound exciting!' I agree, grinning.

Gathering my courage I dart forward to press a quick kiss to his plush lips before racing out of the vehicle and up the stairs to get back in to bed, where I can squeal in happiness while I die of embarrassment.

I'm sorry for keeping your on read so long. Jin distracted me. :Y/N

JJ: ...fine. I'll forgive you this time. The food hyung brought back is good enough as payment for the disrespect.

...Did you really mean to ask that question, though? :Y/N

JJ: Yes. I'm not really experienced in the dating scene, so I'm not sure if I was reading the signals right.

It was unintentional. Not that I took offense if you appreciated the view, but it wasn't on purpose. :Y/N

JJ: Would it be wrong to say I did appreciate the view? /:3

It really depends on the situation. Here and now, no. :Y/N

JJ: I think I need to ask my hyungs about this.

...Do you really? That'd be embarrassing for me. :Y/N

JJ: Why?

That I accidentally flashed the three of you isn't the best look... :Y/N

JJ: They're more likely to be jealous of our good fortune than to want to make you feel bad about it.

Seeing my cleavage is good fortune? Is this an Korean good luck thing? :Y/N

JJ: XD XD XD No. But. We're guys. Granted some of us are Bi, but all of us like girls.

So it's more like a free porn thing then? :Y/N

JJ: 0.o

Shit. Was that too much? I'm sorry. :Y/N

JJ: Do girls watch porn?!

You know how many female idol groups?? And you know that none of you are allowed to date, regardless of the gender. If you watch it, why wouldn't they? I mean, everyone gets that itch occasionally, regardless of gender. :Y/N

The texting with JK came to a halt with that. I expected he'd continue,  it I guess I got another Jungshook reaction, but with no visual it was more just silence.
