Aled POV:

"Aled what snacks should we get?" Frances says observing the chips shelf "Maybe Pringles?" I say picking up Cheerios from the shelf opposite her, "Perfect!" she says grabbing a pack of Pringles "That should be everything on the list, I'm so excited for our movie night tonight!" Suddenly Frances stops talking and I realized she ahead getting yelled at by someone "What's going on ?" I say approaching them and what I see is a horrific sight, my 'mother' Carol Last slapping my best friend and basically sister Frances right on her left cheek with a look of pure rage "I'll ask you one more time WHERE IS ALED!?" I want to pull my mother off Frances and run I want to help Frances but I just can't this woman has done so many scary things to me I've never been able to get past it or her, suddenly her beady eyes are set on me "Aled Darling! Finally, it's been so long let's go home you've been out for far too long"  as she grabs my arm I try to pull away but it's no use she just tightens her grip, my only thoughts are to Frances, I think I'm crying which is obscuring my vision but she slapped Frances so hard I think I can see her holding her bruised face trying not to cry and I can't do anything to help her... my only thought is to scream, so I scream.

Frances POV:

Suddenly an ear-splitting scream snaps me out of my trance and I focus on what's really going on Aled's being dragged away by his deranged insane mother and I'm standing here trying to tend my wound, without a second thought I grab his arm and yank him backward into... Daniel, when did he get here? "Don't touch him!" I say I think a bit more forcefully than I usually do because then Carol turns back to me with a look of pure rage in her eyes "My son wants to go home, we're going home" she spat getting closer and closer to me each second, "Aled dosen't want to go anywhere with you, so leave us alone!" just as it looks like shes about to slap me again Cary's and Raine come back with a person who works there and they have just seen everything. "Ma'am! That behavior in our store is completely unacceptable and I'm going to have to ask you to leave" "that's my son!" she shrieks attempting to grab Aled but Carys stops her "he's not your son anymore you heartless woman" Carys seems also frightened but less frightened only shaking a bit, suddenly without warning Carol starts spitting insults at me and Cary, I can take it but Cary on the verge of tears pushes me off the edge "stay away from us!" I yell making everyone go silent and the people around us look towards the commotion, suddenly the worker comes back with the police "that's her sir" says the worker "She's been harassing these teenagers" The security guard seems to understand and grabs Carol off of Aled and drags her out of the store, "Lets... go home" Raine says hugging me than leading me and everyone else out of the store

                                                               ~Timeskip to at Frances Home~

Aled POV:

"That was crazy," says Raine sitting down at the table, "Aled are you okay?" Carys says putting her hand on his "I know that was... hard for you" I get up and hug Frances "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you from my mom" She hugs me back tightening her grip "Aled, it's fine that women traumatized you she killed your dog! you're allowed to be scared" "Are you sure your okay though?" I say pulling off Frances and observing the mark "I'm fine, it doesn't hurt anymore!" she smiles "Now do you wanna have a movie night and forget all about this?" "Y-yes," I say getting up and hugging Carys who hugs back, "I never wanna see her again..." I say tightening my grip on Carys and all she does is hug me back and pat my back "You don't have to Aled..." Frances and Daniel get up "What movie do we wanna watch?" he says "Four Weddings and a Funeral!" Frances practically screams "Haven't you seen that movie like 50 times?"  "Yes, but its such a good movie!" I smile and let go of Carys "let's watch it" I say going into the kitchen with  Frances to make popcorn "Are you sure you're okay?" asks Frances putting on the popcorn "I'm feeling better, thank you for letting me live with you and your mom" Frances smiles and looks at me "you deserve a good life and I love spending time with you, my mom also loves you, stay here for as long as you need."
