The sun was setting, and the four friends
Riley, Dave, Callie, and Rick were walking
back to their cars after a hike when they
came across an abandoned house in the
niddle of nowhere. It was old and dusty, and
looked like it was abandoned for years.

"Hey, guys. Let's check out this old house,"
Riley suggested as they walked up to the
front door.

The others nodded, curious about the
abandoned house. Riley raised his hand to
knock on the door, but before he could even
touch it, the door opened, and a woman
stood in front of them.

"Who are you?" she asked, looking
confused.

"Uh, we're Riley, Dave, Callie, Rick. We were just wondering why this house was abandoned," Riley stammered.

"I'm sorry, we need to leave," Callie said,
pulling out her phone.

The woman looked at them, and then
gestured for them to come inside. Without
hesitation, they all stepped into the house,
hesitant at first to take a step but intrigued
by the woman's presence.

"You can't stay here," the woman said
sternly. "This house is dangerous. You need
to leave"

Riley looked around the empty room,
noticing the dusty furniture and cobwebs.
He didn't want to leave yet, but he also
didn't want to get hurt.

"We don't want to stay here, but we don't
want to get hurt either. Can you please point
us in the direction of a place where we can
stay safe?" Riley asked.

The woman looked at them for a moment
and then gestured for them to follow her.
She led them down a hallway, passing
through several rooms full of dusty furniture paintings on the wall, and an old piano.

Finally, they came to a room with a bed and
a television.

"Here is where you can stay. It's not much
but it's better than the woods," the woman
said, pointing to the bed.

Without question, they all hopped onto the
bed, exhausted after their hike. Riley pulled
out his phone to catch up with the others
but before he could even open a message
he fell asleep.

When they woke up, it was dark outside.
They looked around the room and saw the
woman was no longer there, the door closed
and locked.

After dinner and some conversation, the four friends settled in for the night, weary from their long day.

The next morning, the woman reappeared
with some food and water. She gave them
each a long-sleeve shirt to wear and
explained that they needed to leave the
house before someone discovered them.

They all looked at each other, hesitant, but it
was clear that they needed to leave.

"We can't thank you enough for helping us.
We would've been in danger if we stayed
here," Dave said.

The woman nodded, looking sad. "I wish
there was more I could have done to help
But I can't risk anyone else finding the
house. Please, leave while you still can"

With that, the woman closed the door,
leaving the four friends stranded in the
abandoned house.

Riley looked at the woman's words
wondering what she meant. They had
explored the entire house, but hadn't found
anythin g that might lead to finding a way
out.

Dave, Callie, and Rick didn't seem too
worried, as they were all experienced hikers
and knew how to get out of any situation.

Riley decided to go outside and see what he
could find, hoping that he could find a way
out.

It wasn't long until he stumbled upon an old
key. He knew what it was immediately - it
was the key to the front door of the house.

He quickly ran back inside, opening the front door and pointing to the key. He explained that he found it and that they needed to escape before someone found them.

Dave, Callie, and Rick all looked at him,
skeptical but thankful that he found a way
out.

Together, they all tried the key in the lock,
and sure enough, it worked. They all smiled,
relieved and happy to be out of danger.

As they walked out into the sunlit day, Riley
couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude
for his friends - he knew he could always
count on them, no matter what. And he
was happy that he found a way out of the
dangerous house.

From that day on, the four friends continued to hike and explore together, always looking for adventure and fun. And whenever they encountered something unexpected, they would always be ready to escape danger and find a way out.
