"Really?"

"Yeah! You'll be helping to translate some of our content."

"Wow." Kathryn was speechless. How on earth had he done that?

"You start in a couple of weeks, so pack your bags! I sorted it all out."

He looked so proud of himself and his eyes were twinkling; she couldn't help but want to kiss him on the spot.

"Thank you so much!" She jumped up and clapped. "You don't know how happy you've made me."

"I think I do." He smirked. "I can't wait to see you."

After getting the news, everything was a blur as she prepared to leave. She was going to go live with Kibum, so she took what she wanted and he offered to have the rest shipped over. It really was the start of a new life.

Kibum was waiting for her at the airport with Minho, who'd wanted to come. As soon as Kathryn came out of the gate and spotted Kibum, she ran to greet him and jumped into his open arms.

"I missed you so much!" he said as he lifted her off the ground and spun her around. Then they kissed so intensely that Minho had to look away, feeling slightly uncomfortable.

"Hi," he said when she noticed his presence.

"Hi. Long time no see." She smiled.

Kibum helped her get settled and she began learning about the company and her job right away. Not many people knew she was engaged to him, so she decided to keep it that way so people wouldn't get the wrong impression of her.

On her first day, Kate immediately felt out of her depth. She'd never worked in a corporate environment in Korea and didn't know how exactly it worked. Luckily her supervisor showed her the ropes and she got straight to work.

It was hard work but it was nice to do something different. Getting to admire her future husband several times a day was a fun perk too.

Kate managed to make one friend, a woman called Hyo-won. They would eat lunch together and chat about idle things.

At home things were exciting as she began to think of the wedding with Kibum. He had had a new engagement ring designed and made for her while she was gone, which she absolutely loved. It just seemed to encapsulate the two of them perfectly.

They decided to have a long engagement to have the time to plan two weddings: one in Korea and one in the UK for those who couldn't attend. It all felt like a dream to Kathryn who'd genuinely thought she'd be single well into her thirties.

"Are you settling in well?" Kibum asked over dinner, smiling softly at his fiancée.

"I think so. The work is interesting so far." Kathryn smiled at him. "Thank you."

Kibum gave her an adoring look. "I'd do anything for you."

"Aw, when did you become so soppy?" Kate laughed.

"Don't worry, I still have my sass." Kibum smirked.

"I wasn't worried about that, silly." She booped his nose and he pouted, making a silly face afterwards.

"I'm just happy." He smiled, and her heart melted.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

They kissed over the table, the kiss deepening until Kibum almost knocked over a bowl.

"Maybe we should finish dinner later," Kathryn suggested, getting up at the same time as him.

"Yes," he answered, his voice full of desire.

They began making out and she wrapped her legs around his middle, letting him carry her to the bedroom.

"I missed you," she breathed out as she caressed his face while he hovered above her.

"I missed you more than you can know," he replied, taking his kisses lower.

"Mum's coming over for a visit," Katherine announced. "She took holidays."

"Nice, then we'll get to meet properly."

Kate had already met Kibum's parents, who approved of her. Now it was time for him to win her mum over.

Crystal stayed at their place, and Kibum was the perfect gentleman. He even brought her backstage at a show to meet the other members.

"Remember, they don't speak much English mum," Kate said as they walked down the hallway. "And use the greeting I taught you."

There was no need to worry though: the boys were also perfect gentlemen, having being warned by Kibum to be on their best behaviour. Crystal had a lot of questions which they did their best to answer, and afterwards she got to see them perform and hear the type of music they made. By the time her trip was coming to an end, she said, "I approve of you two. I can see that he really cares and that he's a hardworking man. Their music isn't to my taste but they work hard on their craft and it shows."

"Thanks mum." Kate beamed.

Everything seemed to be going well for once, and that made Kate very happy.
