They rode off at top speed, but found no sign of the enemies or Gabby. They rode to the edge of their territory and found no-one. Lexa halted everyone and said, "we need to turn back now. We will have to make another plan, they have managed to escape and we need to be smart."

"We can't just leave her," Rebel said.

"We won't, but I won't force anyone to go after her, it's going to be voluntary. I can't put the needs of one person, ahead of the rest of our people. I am Hedakwin, Rebel, I have to do what is best for the majority of people." Lexa explained.

Everyone turned around and rode back to Polis. Rebel did it under protest and was planning to turn around immediately, with a fresh horse and supplies, to bring Gabby home.

Indi rode up beside Rebel, "I know what you are thinking and I want you to know, I'm in."

"Thanks Indi, I appreciate it." Rebel said. "We will get fresh horses and supplies and then leave."

"Nyx and Jetta will join us. I love Lyric, but fighting isn't really her thing, so she will be safer in Polis." Indi said.

Rebel nodded her head. "Mum is going to be pissed, I understand as Hedakwin, she has to do what's best for the majority of our people, but she has done that once before and almost lost mumma, because of it. And mum has told us all over and over, how much she regrets leaving mumma at Mount Weather, now she wants me to leave the woman I love, to her fate. I can't do that, I won't. She's not even mine yet and I can't loose her."

"I know and you won't." Indi said, "we will get her back or die trying. Not that that would happen, I mean have you seen how skilled I am, and you ain't to bad either." Indi laughed, teasing her sister.

Rebel rolled her eyes, at her little sister. "You are such a brat. But you are the best brat, a big sister could ever hope for."

They arrived at Polis and Indi went to speak to Jetta and Nyx, about joining them, which they both agreed to immediately, with Dion Kom Podakru, who Jetta admitted was her girlfriend and a skilled warrior, having seconded for their Aunt Luna until recently, joining them as well. Rebel stocked up on supplies and readied their horses.

They packed and had left by midnight, they would be in Sou Mica territory, before the meeting Lexa had organised, for a plan of attack to be decided, would even begin. If Rebel looked at it from a Hedakwin point of view, she knew her mother was right, but she couldn't turn her back on the woman she loves, not even for her people. I guess that means I wouldn't make a good Hedakwin, Rebel thought to herself. If going all in for love, means I have no chance at being Hedakwin, so be it. After seeing how much her parents love each other, she knew she could never walk away from love and never would. And she loves Gabby Kom Trikru, Kleo Carun, Crown Princess of Sou Mica, regardless of her name, that was her soulmate and Rebel needed her.

By mid morning, they had reached the outskirts of Sou Mica territory. "We need to becareful from this point on. Let's stay quiet and aware of our surroundings. Remember we are assassins, the best of the best. I am honoured to have you beside me in this battle and would not want anyone else. I am confident we can get Gabby back and all of us make it home safe. No-one gets left behind."

The other four women nodded their agreement and they rode deeper in to Sou Mica territory.

About the same time Lexa and Clarke were sitting on their thrones, waiting for their daughters and nieces to arrive. Lexa had called on the best warriors, to attend the meeting, to determine the course of action, they would take to get Gabby back.

Octavia, Luna, and Indra all waited patiently, for the four younger warriors, to appear. The plan, so far, was for them all to ride to Sou Mica, leaving Lyric or Caspian to succeed Lexa, if the worse happened. Lexa had originally planned to leave Clarke behind, to oversee everything and because she couldn't bare it if anything happened to Clarke, but they had had a heated argument, were Clarke had made it very clear, that she would be with Lexa no matter what and there was nothing she could do about it. Lexa knew how stubborn her wife is and knew arguing with her about it, was useless.

The guards, she had sent to collect her daughters and nieces reported back to her finally, letting her know that they had left last night.

"How could they be so stupid and reckless." Lexa fumed to no-one in particular.

Luna laughed.

"What do you find funny, sister?" Lexa growled.

"You asking that question, sister. Two of them are yours and Clarke's daughters and the other two belong to Octavia and Raven. No offence Octavia." Luna said.

"It's good, Luna I get it." Octavia said knowing her daughters, were only doing what Raven and her had done many times, risked it all for those they love. And she couldn't help be a bit proud, even though she was worried.

"Explain yourself, sister." Lexa said, still growling her words.

"Rebel is you Lexa, fierce, over protective, do anything, kill anyone for the one she is in love with. Mix in Clarke's intelligence and stubbornness, she is without a doubt the mastermind of this little adventure. And is undoubtedly pissed off at you, for turning back in the first place. Add into that the fact that you have always told them all how much you regretted leaving Clarke at Mount Weather and she was never going to make the same mistake you did." Luna said.

Lexa stewed on that for a minute, before begrudgingly coming to terms with the fact that Luna had nailed it, that is exactly what would have happened and she knew it. "Ok, but she didn't have to drag her little sister and cousins into it." Lexa said annoyed.

"Oh please, Indi is literally a miny Clarke, as Wanheda, not just in looks. She is smart, scary and cold to anyone who attacks those she loves. She will not hesitate to wipe out hundreds, to protect the ones she loves, she is stubborn as hell, will gladly throw herself into danger to protect those she loves add in your skills and fierceness no-one could stop her. As for Jetta and Nyx, they are Raven and Octavia's kids, those two threw themselves into ever dangerous situation, with Clarke, no matter the odds, if you think they would let their cousins, who they grew up with, were best friends with, go with out them, you don't know them or Raven and Octavia." Luna said.

Clarke put a hand on Lexa's thigh and said, "Luna's right, Lex, we provided them with these reckless, warrior genes, but we also made sure they had skills to match, I have complete faith in them. They couldn't be better prepared both in their genes and training. This is Rebel's fight, if she needs us, we will go, but right now we need to let her have her moment, rescuing the girl she loves. This is her Mount Weather."

Lexa looked at Clarke, with regret, that she didn't act as Rebel had, when the girl she loves needed rescuing. "Ok, everyone is dismissed for now, but stay close, in case they need us." Lexa said.
