I hope to be around- Men i trust

Sunghoon's life continues to straddle the line between his gang leader activities and the tangled emotions that have wrapped around his heart. His days are spent navigating a treacherous underworld, a world of betrayal and loyalty intertwined like a double-edged sword. The traitors within his ranks are hunted down with ruthless efficiency, their fates sealed by his iron grip.

As he stands before the latest target of his wrath, his rats – his loyal informants – surround him, handing him a pair of gloves as they know he doesn't like to get his hands dirty.

His jaw clenches, his fingers curling into fists as anger simmers just below the surface. He's ready to unleash his fury, to make an example of this traitor who dared to cross him.

But then, in the midst of his building rage, an image flashes across his mind.

It's not the image of violence or vengeance, but rather the image of a woman – Yuna. The anger that had been fueling him is momentarily replaced by a surge of conflicting emotions. He slowly retreats his clenched fist, his anger dissipating as quickly as it had come.

He eyes the man before him, his voice laced with an odd mix of determination and vulnerability.

"Do you have a girlfriend?"

The man's confusion is palpable, but he nods cautiously.

Sunghoon's next words come out almost as if he's lost in thought, "I need your advice. There's this girl I love, but she rejected me. I still want to take her on a date. Should I message her?"

The man blinks, taken aback by the unexpected turn of the conversation. He clears his throat, trying to offer some wisdom to the formidable figure before him, "I don't know, man. Girls love it when someone's chasing them. They like feeling loved." His words seem almost out of place in this dimly lit setting, a stark contrast to the world they're both a part of.

A glimmer of satisfaction crosses Sunghoon's eyes as he absorbs the advice. Slowly, he peels off his gloves, the leather material whispering against his skin. He issues a quiet order to his underlings, instructing them to take care of the traitor.

They'll dispose of him, make him vanish into the depths of the ocean – an outcome that barely registers in Sunghoon's consciousness.

As he walks away from the scene, the echoes of the man's advice linger in his mind. His heart is a complex tapestry of emotions, where anger, longing, and a fierce desire to protect intertwine. And as the shadows of the underworld stretch long into the night, he finds himself grappling not only with the enigma of his criminal empire but also with the enigma of his own heart.

Meanwhile, Yuna finds herself caught in a sea of uncertainty. The day stretches before her like an empty canvas, a rare day off work granted by a boss who now knows her secret. Her battle with cancer has become an open secret, one that has changed the dynamics of her professional life. Her boss instructed her to take the day to rest, only to return once her surgery is completed – a well-intentioned gesture that Yuna knows is rooted in misunderstanding.

As she gazes out of her window, her mind swirls with conflicting thoughts. She isn't well-versed in romantic entanglements; her experience with Sunghoon had been her first foray into such uncharted territory.

In a world where ice cream might be the answer to heartache and love stories play out like clockwork on her favorite K-dramas, she's left grappling with the complexity of her emotions.

She had embarked on a plan to shield Sunghoon from the reality of her illness, a selfless attempt to spare him the pain of getting attached to someone with an uncertain future. But she had underestimated the depth of his feelings, the way he had carved a place for himself in her heart without her realizing it.

Amid her contemplations, her phone buzzes, interrupting her thoughts. Her heart skips a beat as she reads the text from the man who's been both a source of joy and turmoil in her life. His words, simple and straightforward, cut through the silence that surrounds her.

"I got us Arctic Monkeys tickets. Let's meet at the venue if you still wanna go."

Number 46: Attend an arctic monkeys concert

A mixture of excitement and uncertainty surges within her. She lets out a soft sigh and, for a moment, considers leaving him on read – a small act of playfulness amidst the seriousness of her thoughts. But she knows, deep down, that her heart yearns for this connection, for the chance to experience a different side of life, even if only for a fleeting moment.

With a determined breath, she types out a reply, the words reflecting her decision to seize the opportunity life has presented her. "I'm in." The message sends, and a wave of anticipation washes over her.

She contemplates her choices, wrestling with the unknown. Yet, amidst the uncertainty, a sense of resolve takes hold. With a silent mantra of "fuck it," she gathers her courage, determined to face whatever the day – and the concert – has in store for her.
