Lizzie's trying everything she can to keep Florence awake, but with every gentle hum of the cars engine, her head lulls to the side, currently pressed up against the window with Paws beneath her head. Her eyes aren't closed, but they're hooded, and continue to flutter as she sinks deeper and deeper into the black leather seat. Monroe is in her lap, and every time Lizzie glances back to make sure she's still okay, she's fiddling with his hand. She and Scarlett had been trying to carry a conversation, but it seemed the new array of people and being out in the sun all day had worn her down, although Lizzie also suspects the motion and humming of the car has something to do with it. The seatbelt cuts into her neck, legs dangling above the floor and head below the headrest. It makes her look little in an entirely new light, but Lizzie's too consumed with anxiety about her being safe to coo over her.
"You sleepy back there?" Scarlett calls, silence coming over the three of them once again. It's comfortable, but an indicator that they're losing her. One hand rests on her bump while the other holds the seatbelt strap away her waist, keeping it from digging into her swollen body. She doesn't usually mind it too much, but being on her feet all day had taken it's toll.
"No." Florence answers, although her words are soft and slurred. She had stopped fiddling with Monroe's paw at some point, settling to just hold the monkey close to her chest.
Scarlett laughs, shaking her head as she cranes her neck to look into the backseat, finding Florence hardly able to keep her eyes open, slumped against the passenger side door. "You sure about that?"
She hums, but when her eyes peak open and she realizes that Scarlett is looking right at her, and especially her fluttering eyes, her cheeks flush. The redhead pokes her tongue out, smiling when Florence does the same. "You have fun today?"
"Mmhm." She doesn't say anything more, rubbing her eyes with closed fists, trying to fight the exhaustion that makes her limbs feel like heavyweights. "Alan used to drive me around when I couldn't sleep at night. It's making me sleepy." There's almost a whine to her words toward the end, and both Lizzie and Scarlett laugh. Lizzie let's her shoulders relax, hardly realizing she'd ever tensed them to begin with. She likes this new side to Florence, even if she knows it'll only last until she arrives back with Alan.
"That's okay. It'll only be a few more minutes. Why don't we talk about something?" Scarlett suggests, seeing that the GPS mounted onto the windshield says they should be arriving in the next two to three minutes. Florence nods at the idea, trying harder to stay awake and away from the windshield despite how comfortable she was finding it. "What other movies do you like?"
"I haven't seen any new ones. Not since Iron Man 2 came out." She yawns, but continues, feeling herself wake up more and more as she tries to remember what movies she watched when she was younger. The selection back then was few to none too, but there had been a couple. "When I was little I remember Alan's wife had a few vhs tapes. I liked It Takes Two and My Girl." Her cheeks flush when she realizes she's just informed Lizzie of the fact she knows who her sisters are, and it apparently rings a few bells as she speaks next.
"It Takes Two, huh." She teases, approaching a red light and using that as an opportunity to turn her head around and smirk at Florence. The little girl blushes fiercely, turning her head into the soft fur of Paws' belly and hiding her face. "You seen any of their other movies?"
"Oh! That's the one with your sisters?" Scarlett lets out a loud laugh that jostled her belly when Lizzie nods, both women finding clear amusement in the situation. "Have you seen anything else of mine?"
"We Bought A Zoo! Alan said we couldn't get a lion when i asked him." Florence pouts at the memory, quickly shaking her head and willing herself to think about something else when she remembers that he'd gotten so mad at her persistence that he snapped the DVD in two, and she hasn't seen the film since. That was years ago now, before things had truly gotten bad. "I've seen a couple of your sisters movies." She backtracks told the question Lizzie asked, cheeks still burning. "I didn't say anything cause I didn't think you'd like that." She admits softly, breaking both Scarlett and Lizzie's heart.
