The next day was the big tourney game, and Ruby was a little excited to witness the game. Ellie told her how exciting it was and how the team had never lost.
Ruby was at her locker, grabbing what she needed, when Mal approached her.
"What do you want, Mal?" Ruby asked, closing her locker and facing the purple-haired girl.
"Here," Mal said, handing Ruby a bag of cookies.
"What's this?" Ruby asked, examining the cookies.
"They're cookies," Mal said, making Ruby roll her eyes.
"Yeah, I see that. But why are you giving them to me?" Ruby asked, already annoyed with this conversation.
