Mattheo Riddle-

It was like seeing her for the first time again. I instantly knew it was her just by the way she was walking, the way she was hurrying towards her destination. 

But when I heard her voice, that was when I knew. That was when I knew it was truly her.

And God, did I miss her. 

I missed her sweet smile, how good she was, how right.

And I ruined it.

Everytime I looked at her I was reminded of the one mistake I regretted.

Falling into Druella's trap.

I hated myself for it time and time again.

And the fact that she even forgave me, made me want her even more.

When I first found out that she was dating Tom, I was devestated.

Then, when I realized what Tom was truly planning I was devastated, I wanted to help her.

I was worried for her.

I didn't think I would ever see her again, just for the sole reason that I had lost all connection with her.

With everybody, for that matter.

I was making my way down the street to go smoke as it was my new smoking place when I saw her. 

As soon as I did, I rushed towards her.

Oh, and I dropped my cigarette.

"It's been a long time coming, Mattheo" she had said.

"Y-yeah, l-long time n-no see" I said, nervously.

"How's it been?"

"How's what been?" I asked, wondering if she knew anything about me and if so, what she did.

"Life, I mean it has been a long time since we last spoke, anything new or interesting?" 

"No, not really, same old Mattheo" I said, as I let out an awkward laugh.

Just then I noticed a ring on her finger.

A diamond ring with a pearl next to it.

"U-um I didn't realize you were engaged" I said, my heart sinking slowly.

"Oh, yeah, I guess I forgot to mention, I got married last year" 

My heart sank deeper.

Married?

"Oh, that's cool...who's the lucky man?"

"Umm, it's Tom actually..." she replied, slightly embarrassed.

I mean, I always knew it would be Tom, but why didn't she invite me?

I know Tom might've been in her way if she ever brought inviting me up, but still, if he loved her he would do it...unless...

"Look, I know I should've invited you, I would've but...no one had any way of contacting you"

Ah, the same excuse that everyone would eventually use if we were ever to meet again.

"Yeah, um, no worries, don't worry about it, I was just going to meet up with someone actually, do you mind?"

"Oh, yeah, i'm sorry i'm also meeting up with someone, too" she said, politely.
