I'm beginning to get slightly concerned that Natasha won't get here in time. My waters broke at around 2am, it's now 9pm and when the nurse was last in I was 6cm dilated.
- Wanda : I've got more ice
- y/n : Have you heard from Nat?
- Natasha : Hey, how are you? How's the baby? Can I do anything?
- y/n : I just need a hug
- Natasha : How come you went into labour early?
- y/n : The midwife said it's probably stress. The baby will need to spend more than a few nights in the neonatal unit if their lungs are underdeveloped or they have like apnea
- Natasha : Thank you so much Wands
- Tony : Do you really think you can be admitted to a Stark foundation hospital and I won't be notified?
It's hard to find a hospital in New York that isn't a Stark foundation hospital, I also want the best care for the baby so I kind of had to risk Tony being notified.
- Tony : Look, I understand why you're here and not at the compound, just let Barnes know. He's stressing over the fact he thinks you have diarrhoea and is planning to head over to yours
- y/n : Crap
- Natasha : I'm on it. Told him we're at the hospital, didn't say why. Told him to come
- Tony : I've got Happy outside the door, this baby and you all are going to be an attraction for journalists so we're keeping things quiet until the security I've ordered to protect you arrives
Me and Natasha are planning to keep everything regarding the baby private unless we're ambushed by journalists and they're taking photos or the baby decides they want an online presence when they're older.
- Nurse : Right, everyone except Y/n and Natasha out, I've got to check how far dilated Y/n is and how long we have until baby is with us
Am I nervous? Yes, yes I am. It's not everyday that you give birth to a 34 week baby. The first worry is that there will be something seriously wrong with the baby, the second is that something will go wrong with me.
- Nurse : 8 centimetres. It really shouldn't be long now. Within the next few hours or so we should have your baby
- y/n : Thank you
- Natasha : Is the baby going to be okay?
- Nurse : Their heart rate is steady but we can't say anything for definite until they're born
- Natasha : Okay, thank you
- y/n : Tasha, sit down. This is our last few hours of peace before we become parents
- Bucky : Where are they?
- Natasha : I'm going to go get Buck
- Happy : Calm down Mr Barnes
I'm so happy Bucky is going to be here. Me and Nat decided that we're going to ask him and Wanda to be the babies godparents. In our line of work having godparents is needed. The whole compound are family but if me and Nat die then Wanda and Bucky will take over raising the baby.
- Bucky : Hey, are you okay? Nat said you're in labour
- y/n : Yep. Only got 2 centimetres to go
- Bucky : Nervous?
- y/n : You wouldn't believe how nervous I am
- Wanda : She's peed like four times in the last 30 minutes
- y/n : I'm also making sure I don't need to shit. My worst nightmare is needing to shit while I'm delivering
- Natasha : No one is going to care. We're all here to make sure you're comfortable and that the baby is delivered safely
- y/n : I guess. I still don't want to shit, if I do then I need you to leave the room. That's not flattering
- Natasha : Y/n, I've literally been up close and personal with your vagina, I don't care
- Wanda : That was unnecessary
- y/n : But true
This conversation is distracting me from the pain in my back and stomach. It's not nice, I won't lie, it really fucking sucks.
- Bucky : Are you okay?
- y/n : Yep, contraction
- Natasha : It's okay, just breathe
- Bucky : Me and Steve have been sleeping together
- Wanda : Oh?
- Natasha : We know
- y/n : Congratulations Buck. I'm proud of you
- Bucky : Thank you. I didn't want you to judge me or not be my friend
- y/n : Buck I'm literally having Nat's baby, I'm not going to judge you
It's not exactly new information, we all knew it was happening, we were just waiting for them to say something.
- Wanda : Right, let's go wait outside Bucky, if they need us they'll come get us
- Natasha : We're going to be a while, get something to eat, you can head back to ours to sleep as well if you want
- Bucky : Okay, come on Wands
I need some time alone with Nat, just to hug her and have her close before it's no longer just us.
- Natasha : Is there anything I can do for you detka?
- y/n : Can I have a hug please?
- Natasha : Scoot forward, let me sit behind you. I'm so proud of you detka
- y/n : I'm so tired
- Natasha : Try and get some sleep, we've got a while
- y/n : I love you so much Tasha
- Natasha : I love you too. Thank you for giving me my family
- y/n : Mhm
I know I'm not going to be able to sleep, not very well anyway but that's okay. I get to be close to Natasha which is helping with the pain.
- y/n : Crap, someone needs to go and feed Liho
- Natasha : I'll text Wands, put your head back down
- y/n : Tell her to stick around ours for the night, Liho shouldn't be alone for that long. You know how she gets
- Natasha : Okay detka
This baby better fucking hurry up.
