As Javier walked out of the hospital, he couldn't help but notice the desolate streets, as if the world had been abandoned for years. It dawned on him how much time had passed while he was inside. Deep in thought, he pondered how he would reunite with his remaining children, particularly his beautiful baby girl, Odessa.

Overwhelmed by guilt, he reflected on the times he had mistreated her, leaving her with abusive people and constantly ignoring her. He knew he was the main cause of all her problems and desperately longed to apologize to her.

Determined to find his children, Javier came across a truck that seemed to have been abandoned for a while. Though it was against the law to steal, the owner was nowhere in sight, so he decided to hotwire the vehicle and embark on his journey.

As he drove down the highway, he encountered a traffic jam, forcing him to park the stolen truck. Realizing he had to continue on foot, he checked the car for anything useful and came across a machete with a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire. He secured them to his belt loop and proceeded through the deserted traffic, his heart filled with panic. Where could his kids be?

Meanwhile, Odessa ran through the woods until she tripped over a tree branch, landing face-first on the ground. In pain, she examined her upper arm and discovered a deep bite mark, blood slowly trickling out.

Disgusted, she knew she had to tend to her wound. Remembering how her sister had survived in similar situations, she tore a strip of her shirt and tightly wrapped it around her arm, hoping it would suffice for now.

As Odessa sat there, the gravity of her situation sank in. She was bleeding, lost in the woods, and had no clue where her family could be. With darkness approaching, she realized she needed to find shelter for the night. Her plan was to search for Glenn in the morning, hoping her father and sister would be with him.

Pushing through the pain in her arm, Odessa trudged onward. Weak and feverish, she almost gave up until she spotted a faint light in the distance. As she drew closer, she saw a farm and a woman with brown hair sitting on the porch.
