While this story is rated as 'Mature' I feel that the rating by itself is very vague. So, I wanted to take a moment to go into why this will be rated 'Mature' to follow Wattpad's guidelines and so that, as a reader, you're informed on whether or not you wish to pick up reading this story.
-Violence & Gore: This story is set in a medieval fantasy setting and I fully intend to depict the brutality of medieval combat, which will be prevalent during the second act.
-Explicit Sex Scenes: This will happen much later in the book after the characters are over the age of 18 years old.
-Traumatic Themes: A few characters in this story are victims of sexual assault. While not explicitly depicted, these events will be brought up and talked about. Verbal abuse will be depicted. Child neglect will be depicted. Emotional manipulation will be depicted.
I will be mass-releasing the first eight chapters of this story to give you a feel for the plot and characters, and I'm going to do my best to release a chapter every week. If you decide to pick up reading this, then I hope you enjoy the ride.
