So, when my cousin, "Ytterbium," was still learning her shapes and colors, and I was learning how to read, neither of us knew what the LGBTQIA+ family was.
One day, we were at my house, and decided to play a game where we were does who didn't want to have a mate, so we disguised ourselves as bucks and just ran around the yard together. At one point, she said "Wait, I know how we can get out of mating with the bucks! What if WE mated with EACH OTHER?" "That- that's actually really smart!"
Then, we proceeded to walk up to the imaginary bucks, hand in hand, and took off our imaginary disguises, essentially coming out of the closet.
