Later that night ashtray gave me a ride home since I didn't really feel like going to a party.

"Thanks again ash" I said getting out of the car

He nodded and smiled

I walked over to my house and saw my moms car was there which meant she's home

I opened the door to see the kitchen light on, I wanted to go there and talk to my mom about what happened but I also didn't wanna but I know I need too

I walked in the kitchen to see my mom cleaning the table

"Mom? Can I ask you something.."

"What"

"Who's Miguel"

My mom stopped cleaning and looked afraid

"How how did yo-"

"You really weren't gonna tell me that dad wasn't my real dad?! And that his brother is I mean how could you mom! You lied to me"

"Rory don't use that tone on me and I didn't tell you because you didn't need to know what" she looked at me while crossing her arms

"Are you kidding me!? I didn't need to know!? So you were just gonna let me live for the rest of my life without telling me!"

"It was for your own good"

"For my own good?" I said chuckling, is she being serious right now

"Rory I am trying to be the best mother I can to you! I know I've done some pretty messed up stuff in the past but I'm trying! And you need to know how much it's been hard for me"

"Yeah...yeah I'd say not telling your own daughter who her real father is and.. killing someone is pretty messed up" I said while tears fell out

She looked at me in disbelief then she started walking over to me,I backed up

"Don't ever say that" she said as she raised her hand up high, and then *wham!* her palm came across my face. It was like time froze for a moment as I felt the sharp sting and heard the echoing sound of the slap

I looked at her shocked as I held my hand on my face

"Rory.."

Before she could say anything I ran up to my room locking the door behind me

"Hey rory! Wait up" I heard Ella yell from behind, I stopped walking and turned around to look at her

"Hey Ella" I said smiling at her

"Hey wanna hangout after school today?" Ella said catching up to me so we can start walking together

"I have work tho"

"So we'll also hangout with the guy your head over heels for" Ella said doing this weird eyebrow thing and smirking

"Ha ha very funny" I said chuckling

"Ok well I'll see you after school" Ella said since her class is in another fall from where my class was

I nodded and waved bye as I got to my class

"Hey fez"  me and ella both said walking into the store

"Wsp, by the way you kids can hangout in the back I ain't got nothing for you to do today" fez said pointing to the back

We nodded and walked into where ashtray is

"Yo ashy knees what's good" Ella said ploping down on the couch and me walking over to her and sitting down next to ella

"What y'all want" ashtray said while going back to bagging up some drugs

"What? We can't hangout with our favorite person in the world, ashy poo poo" Ella said laughing at what she said  and ashtray rolling his eyes

"Ughhh this us so boring can we like do something!" Ella said complaining like always

"Like what" I asked looking at her

"Ooo I have a idea! My brother used to take me to this lake and we used to like swim and have so much fun and the best part is rarely any people know about it"

"You have a brother?" I asked looking at her confused

"Yeah he went off to collage 2-3 months ago, but y'all wanna go!?" Ella asked excited

"Yeah sure" I said

Me and Ella looked and ashtray waiting for his answer
