Three days.

It was three days since I came here, and three days I was stuck in this room. I'm not complaining though, since moving feels like a chore with my now swollen left knee and I discovered a painful bruise on my right arm.

"It's not cracked or broken." Doctor Henry sighed when he came in for a check.

"But that doesn't look good, Doc." Luke, who's now visiting me, pointed at my swollen knee. "Is she really healing?" Denv seconds.

In the days that I was stuck, Doctor Henry came or more like dragged by Luke who happened to do an early monthly check up on all the rooms in the pack house. He said and I qouted; "because we house unruly and troublesome pups." So a monthly surprise check up in every rooms is clearly a  necessity "What they're hiding can really be surprising." He added more like talking to himself.

I was in the pack house in one of their guest rooms. And right now, this part of the house is offlimits, giving the peaceful quietness, which is unusual in a pack house since a pack house is always bustling with people.

So Luke, took one look at me before he took off running somewhere. Then came back with a huffing Doctor Henry and a huffing Denv who came after. And of course, a lot of other unfamilliar faces who came after them.

Apparently, Luke made a scene that caught him a lot of attention with all of his cursing at the field on Denv who was on a morning training, then dragged Doctor Henry who was on the middle of a consultation at that moment.

"You were supposed to take care of her!" He demanded.

"And I did!" Denv answered.

I tuned out most of their bickering as my attention focused on Doctor Henry who sports a worried look on his face, examining my now swollen knee.

Doctor Henry must be of the same age as Alpha Bryans. He was a half breed from a witch and a werewolf, and he happens to excel in healing. Hence making him an excellent pack doctor in the Royal faction, as what Denv said. And him, being distressed by my not-so-impressive healing abilities is not surprising since they all heal much faster.

Luke, on the other hand proved me that 'don't judge a book by it's cover' is really true. I thought he was weird and him being Cassey mate is unsurprising, but I was wrong. Him being lost in thoughts is just him doing his job, and that is being a tracker. I was surprised to know he's the best tracker in the whole contenent. He can hear miles away, and his nose works three times unlike the others. I was impressed. He is not looking lost in thoughts instead concentrating, exercising his function effectively-precisely. He's responsible for the tracking and the others responsible for the hunting. He was at the center when at that moment, and he was at the safest point. Imposible to attack him if there's an attack.

How they work really blows my mind.

"This must be normal to swell a lot before it heals." Doctor Henry said. And I nodded. It's swollen but it's already showing signs of healing since other parts is already scarring and darker brown color.

The truth is, I can hardly feel any pain at all. It was like a pain but numb at the same time. And I was really feeling comfortable in the three days that I stayed here, like I was really relaxed and refreshed. Maybe it's because of where I stayed, or maybe because I was just high because of the medicines.

But I'm not complaining, to be honest, this is addicting.

At this moment, I was sitting on a sofa with Denv, Luke and Doctor Henry for the second time since yesterday.

"Hmmm" Doctor Henry hummed. "It's looking good." With a pleased face while nodding and then rummage his bag, must be looking for another medicine.

"And you are not pumping her any more of your medicines." I heard Denv stopped him, putting hisself between us. "Just look at her. She looks. . ."

"High." Luke interjected.

And I raised a brow at that. "I don't look high." I huffed.

"Painkiller is enough, I suggest." Denv added with a firm finality in his voice.

"But she'll heal longer." I can hear the stubborness of Doctor Henry as he stand tall just like Denv is.

Luke rolled his eyes. "Why don't you just let her drink your blood and this'll all be over."

My jaw dropped. And growls was heard. My head snapped at him fast, I was surprised by not getting a whiplash.

"No one's letting her drink any werewolf blood." Denv growled.

"Seriously? Denv. " Luke started as he put his hands in his pockets. "All we need to do is ask and they will flock here, offering."

That must be the trigger since Denv literally thrown his self at Luke, fisting his collar. "You do not suggest any of this to anyone." He gritted.

Drinking a werewolf blood is so intimate and sacred. It was a deed that they do when they're doing the deed, especially for mates, the biting of the necks, drinking little of their mates blood, making their bond stronger. Drinking a werewolf blood other than your mate is not really prohibited, but rather a silent taboo. You do not offer it recklessly or lightly, as what the older women on my pack said. And I know there's more to drinking blood other than strengthening the bond and intimacy.

And Luke, out of all people just suggested that.

"He's not wrong."

A new voice said gaining our attention.

Denv unhand Luke and they all bow a little. And I was frozen on my seat, not knowing how to react as my eyes glued to the new person that came. Us, not hearing him enter is what made me flabbergasted. How can we not notice?

"It'll heal her faster." He added, sauntering gracefully towards me. I know it's rude to stare but there's dread and anxiety creeps on me whenever I see the King ever since I met him at the Ceremony. It was like a feeling that something might happen, like he's a walking dreadful and ominous. My mind and body unconciously put a guard up and stare, afraid that I might get tangled when I avert my eyes from him.

He placed his self infront of me, sitting down as he looked at my knee, gracing his eyes on me, replacing Doctor Henry.

With a devilish smile he said, "Are you accepting my offer?"

I trembled. He looks like he's not asking at all. And I feel fear I have never felt before.
