I wake up to Kate throwing pillows me "get up" another one hits me in the face. I sit up and another one hits me I throw them back at her. "what the hell Kate!" "get up its race day!" "always has been your favorite day" I smile at her. "yep so lets go get up and at em" she says jumping on my bed "why do you have so much energy this morning" "don't worry about it" "Kate I saw you sneak out of the room last night" she looks at me shocked and gets off my bed and goes and lays on hers I get up and look at her but she hides her face "no maam spill it." I say "okay fine nothing happened alright I just went and took a walk" she says smiling "your full of shit" I say going to the bathroom to brush my hair she comes in "okay fine I went and watched a movie and fell asleep" she says brushing her teeth I smile at her "im glad your actually into one guy for once and not a bunch." she looks at me shocked at what I just said
I go and changed into some jean shorts and a black tank top since it's going to be hot out and im not going to stay in this outfit long. Kate walks out with her hair braided in 2 French braids.
she looks through her suitcase "our flight back home is tonight isn't it?"she ask "yea so right after the race were heading out" I say looking at her and she looks kind of sad.
she rummages through her things and sighs "what is wrong?" "I have nothing to wear" she laughs. I look at her full suitcase "what do you mean you have nothing to wear?" "what I said!" she laughs
she pulls out black jean shorts and a tight black crop top. she puts on her shoes and then cleans up her mess that she made with her clothes.
I go into the bathroom and brush my hair and put it in a claw clip. I walk out and
I heard my phone go off so I look

I responded and the put my phone in my back pocket.
"Ready?" I ask looking at her she nods and we head out of our room and to the elevator.
The elevator doors open and in the elevator stood Carlos and Pierre
We step in "Kate" Carlos smiles at her "Carlos"
I give her a funny look "Carlos this is my best friend y/n. Y/n this is Carlos" I look at Carlos and smile
"This is Pierre" Carlos says he smiles at us as the elevator stops and we all exit it.
Kate and I walk down the street to my car and she gets in the drivers seat "so you just hangout with Carlos or something?" "No he's Charles teammate tho so I've met him. You jealous?" She smirks at me as we begin to drive "nope I know who they all are I just have to act like I've never met them remember" we laugh.

we have to eat certain things to ensure were a certain weight so its fair for everyone or whatever.
we start talking about the plan for today and the events. which I dont attend the driver parade or anything that id have to show my face which sucks but its the way I want it.
so if I win Ill go on podium with my helmet on. everything else is just privacy reasons dont get me wrong the spot lights fun but I dont want anyone to know who I am. they know my last name and thats it. and people who know me only know my first name.
"earth to y/n" Kate snaps her finger in front of my face "huh?" "I said my dad wants to talk to you" she says handing me her phone. I take it from her "hello?" my voice breaks "hey I just want to wish you good luck today I know your dad would be very proud of where you are today me and melissa are watching and rooting for you and we love you" her dad says and a tear ran down my face "thank you I love you both" my voice breaks again. i smile to myself and try to wipe my tears away.
