"Already awake?" I asked Artemis
He was sitting at the island with a cup in front of him
"Huh?" He turned is head a bit "oh... yeah"
I walked over and sat next to him "did you sleep well?"
"Better then in that basement" He says
I looked a bit past him to see Ronin still passed out on the couch
"Guess it was something the two of you needed" I say
He nods "the room wasn't comfortable"
"I could imagine" I say
He sighs "uh- well...thanks for saving us"
"It's not a problem" I say "I'm just glad we got there in time and nothing bad happened to you guys"
He looked down at the cup "....we need to talk... about it"
I sighed "I...I know" I say
He stayed quiet for a bit "sorry for getting caught...I shouldn't have thrown the beanie"
"You were upset for good reasons" I say
"Yeah...well that's what I'm sorry...for" He says
"Right, well" I sighed "I shouldn't have said that to you any of that, I thought about it a lot.... guess sometimes the original idea of this place gets too much into my head, I would have been the same if my friend was killed like that"
"He was a good guy" he says
"If he hung out with you then I believe it" I say
He smiled "you know that nice compliments will only get you so far"
"It did make you smile" I say
He rolled his eyes "yeah yeah"
"I...I know that the difference was that I know you...and I just didn't want to agree and make me feel like more of then asshole" I say
"I... You guys aren't fully wrong when it comes to monsters...they aren't good....we aren't good, it's rare for me to me like...this" he says "a lot are like wild animals... Vicious....killers... so I get your point....just he didn't deserve that"
"Guess we don't know who to and not to kill" I say
"Maybe I can help with that?" He suggested
"What?" I asked
"I can kinda be bait, see if the monster should be saved or not" he says "kinds like how you guys decide if someone is guilty or not"
"I...I guess" I say
He smiled "I...I know you're sorry but the whole thing will take a bit to get over, the argument will be easier to but....the assembly is a different story"
I went and held his hand "and that's okay, just take as much time as you need
Then we heard someone groaned. We both looked to the living room to see Ronin using a pillow to cover his eyes
"Sorry?" Says Artemis
He sighed "you guys and talk anywhere... your dorm"
"Maybe we can go on the balcony" I say to Artemis
"Yeah" He says and gets up "have a good rest Ronin"
"Trying to" he says
The two of us went onto the balcony
"We woke up early huh?" Asked Artemis looking at the sun rising
I laughed "yeah, I didn't even notice"
We looked at each other and smiled then at the rising sun
