Hey guys, big news. This is in fact the last chapter of this book......I feel really accomplished that I made it this far. No worries tho, I wrote a sequel on paper that is also finished. "Beep.....Beep.....Beep"
What in hell is that....I can hear a beeping noise....why is that.......oh god.
Hunter!
I jolted up getting hit in the eyes by a bright light sending me lowering back into the mattress my head was just on.
"Steady baby"
A familiar voice floated from next to me, live milk and honey.
Squinting my eyes to try to let them adjust to the lights in the room.
Do they personally make the lights in these room bright to torture the sick. Who wants to wake u from being in the dark for god knows how long.......to get slapped in the face with that. It's just not fair.
My senses are starting to come back and I can smell the bleach in the room, it's potent like freshly moved grass or rain while the sun is shining, you can't possibly miss it.
The feeling of a slight yet agitating pain was hovering beneath the skin of my hand and I knew its the monitor.
I turned my head carefully and my eyes widened on contact.
It's Hunter.
And Manii, and Krystal, and all the girls.
Even my parents are in here....
Wait, shouldn't Hunter be in a bed....
"He-eyyy sho-shouldn't you be i-in bed?.."
My voice sounds like rail road, and feels like sand paper , but it's coming back....slowly.
"I was......but I recovered pretty quickly so they let me come in here... plus you were out for at least 46 hours. Did you have a nice time dreaming about me?"
His question made me blush even though I didn't know what he was talking about.
"What are you talking about?"
I whispered to him so only he could hear.
"While everyone was out getting a snack, you started mumbling my name......it was very cute."
The blush that was already tainting my face got even deeper at his words. Did I really do that?
Oh my god.....
"Oh my god...I'm so embarrassed..."
Not wanting him to see my face I quickly raised my hands to my face, chastising sleeping self for doing this to me.
His gentle touch grazed my hands as he took them away from my beet red face.
"Hey....it was absolutely adorable. You were saying 'is he ok' 'where is he', and I touched your cheek and you smiled and went right back to sleep."
Aww, he's so sweet on me....wait, what happened to Jason.
"Hunter......what happened to Jason?"
I know I shouldn't care but.....He was still my friend before this whole.......mess.
"I don't know Skylar.....when you blacked out I crawled over to you and couldn't get you to open your eyes. Obviously someone must have heard the explosion because sirens came blazing towards the burning house. Paramedics jumped in and scooped you up and we rode to the hospital together. Well, in seperate ambulances, but you know.....still together. I was examined and bandaged up, doctor said I have to stay again over night for observation in case of a concussion. I said i would only stay again if I could stay with you. When I came to your room the doctor wasn't furnished yet so I went down to reception and called everyone. I still haven't heard anything about Jason, but it would have to be a miracle if he survived that blast....."
Suddenly there was a knock at the door and my eyes got so wide I thought they would fall out.
"Heeyyy Cutie, long time no see"
"Raquel!"
*OPERATING ROOM 22 HOURS AGO*
"Scalpel.............Needle.............Scissors...............ok I think we're--
*Beep Beep Beep Beeeeeeeeeep*
We're losing him. Hand me the paddles.........ok....CLEAR!
Ok again.........CLEAR!--
*Beep Beep Beep*
Alright he's back. This is one lucky young an, it's amazing he survived such a blast...... unfortunately he's going to need some serious reconstructive surgery.....
What did you say his name was nurse?"
"Uhh....Wilson, Jason Wilson doctor."
"Ahh..... well....put Mr Wilson here on the list for R.S. He's one very lucky young man....."
