○I was confused. She shouldn't know about the cracked skin... "Crack?"
She grabbed my wrist and held it up. "Crack..." her fingers ran over it, making it burn in my veins. "Cracks mean freedom... you free us all..."
The door then opened, and it ended up hitting me in the head, causing me to stumble.
"Hello!~" Mars spoke cheerfully loudly, but it was more of an evil cheerful.
Everyone stopped moving and smiled at her. She walked inside, grabbed my wrist, and dragged me away. Once out of the room, Mars slammed the door shut. It startled me.
"You. Bitch." Her smiled faded. "What did you do to make them think about freedom?"
I was confused. I didn't do anything, I barely said a word! "What do you me–"
"WHAT DID YOU TELL THEM!?"
I backed away. I shook my hands in front of my face. "I barely said anything! I swear!"
Suddenly, her hand gripped tightly on what she held. My gaze looked at the item. When I saw the familiar syringe, it caused my eyes to widen.
Taking big steps back, I ended up hitting a wall. A grin flashed on her face as she immediately stabbed it into my neck. "I'd like to see what they meant with those cracks."
I coward over in pain, rubbing my hands over where the syringe was injected. This wasn't injected into a vein, and the burning was so much worse. Tears formed in my eyes, yet I refused to let them out.
"Go ahead, cry," she stared into my eyes with a wicked grin. "It won't stop anything, and without a smile, if Mr. Shine sees it, you'll be in big trouble!"
Footsteps from down the hall echoed closer and closer. Louder and louder. I looked up and saw Eclipse with a rather angry look in his eyes. His gaze met mine, and he noticed my lack of smile, then he saw my hands rubbing my neck, the same way I rubbed my wrist.
He looked over at his daughter and saw the empty syringe in her hand. She met his gaze and then nervously threw the item behind her.
"So that's where that one went..." He tried not to lose the smile he had. He came closer to me and looked at where the syringe was stabbed. His face contourted into confusion. The rather large hands he owned traced my neck around my collar bone. "It's... cracking?"
Eclipse grabbed my wrist and saw the cracks there, too. A shocked but forced smile formed. "I wonder why you react so differently than others... they usually smile uncontrollably, but you... you crack.."
Then he muttered something. It was something I didn't want to hear, and he thought I didn't listen, but I've always had good hearing... and this was a bad time to have that...
The words? "I have to examine this later..."
