A chuckled escaped from his throat. "Of course. What? Did you think I didn't know all the effects of the serum?"

I was stunned. Did... did she know? Was she wanting to get rid of me forever? WAS SHE GOING TO LEAVE ME HERE, EVEN AFTER A YEAR!?

"Would you like me to explain it?" He grinned with an evil glint in his eyes.

A nod was the only response.

Momentarily Eclipse's POV
Days ago

I was cleaning the small mess on the counter. My wife sat in the waiting area, watching TV, waiting for me to get on my break.

The door opened, catching my attention, so I stopped what I was doing. In the doorway stood a fairly tall, skinny woman. She stepped closer to me and leaned at the desk. I smiled, as I always do, since that was the point of this place.

See, the point of this place was to make people smile. My wife, Solar, was born oddly. She smiled quite often, and subconsciously, she had to force herself to not smile. So, when we were married, I made this so other people could have that and not have people judge her anymore.

"Mr Shine?"

"That's me, Ma'am," I answered with respect. "Are you here to drop off a child or make an arrangement?"

"Drop off."

"Ah, yes, and what's the child's name?" I turned toward the computer beside me, turning it on and going to the list of people who needed to be brought in at the given day. Many for today, yet none showed up yet.

"Y/N." She spoke rather sternly. I'm used to the talking tone, but I was now bothered by what the computer suggested.

I looked back to the mother. "Ma'am, you... you know this can cause death, don't you?"

"I know, that's why I wanted my child to have it." Her tone was rude, and it made it clear she had no want to argue about it.

I've only practiced this with the dying family cat. The results weren't pretty, but on a human? It would be new, perhaps... I need to keep an eye on them, just to make sure they don't explode like the cat did.

I briefly smiled at the thought of the dead animal. Sun's poor face when he saw her blood, organs, and even her face splattered all over his room when he returned from his week long sleepover. Oh, how I'll never forget the tears running down his face.

"Of course, I'll give it to them. Although, remember, you said they're here for a year. If you don't pick them up, they have the right to run away. Keeping an adult near keeps them at bay," I said with a stern look in my eyes. I smiled still, but of course, it was a look of 'I'm not kidding'.

Honestly, she knew what the place was. Most adults think it'll just get rid of the electronic addiction, but she? She knew what would happen. And I applauded her, in my mind.

She then walked out of the place to her car. She grabbed her child, who was 17. Their birthday is in a few days. The computer told me that information, because the parents filled it out. Once they entered, I knew... this person will be an experiment for me.

Heya!

The next chapter will be back to Y/N's POV, I just won't say it. So don't be confused when the POV changes, okay?

Now then, have a great Day/Night/Evening, my fellow weirdos!
