Shit! Shit! Shit!

I panted heavily as I ran. Eclipse was chasing me, and I had no idea where the group was now. I wasn't expecting to stay away from them for too long.

My eyes began to cloud up. I don't know how much longer I could handle running. My breaths were unsteady, and it made my side hurt.

Soon, I bumped I to someone, making me stumble back. I looked up and saw Sun. He looked worried and relieved to see me.

"Sunshine, where were you?" He asked quietly.

I looked so insanely panicked. "No time, Mr Shine... chasing me..."

"What?" His eyes widened. That's when he heard the footsteps quickly approaching. With little time to react, he picked me up, bridal style, and ran where the group went.

When we were close to the others, they looked so confused. They were about to ask why I separated, but... footsteps following made them not. Quickly, they rushed to the window that was never locked.

Giant opened the window up and helped the younger ones through first. Then those who've been here the longest, Bird and Feather, went through. And quickly, the people were out. The only ones left were me, Sun, and Moon.

"Y/N, you go first," Moon said, looking between me, the window, and the hall behind us all.

"Hell no. He'd kill you both if you get caught," I shook my head.

Right before they could protest, I heard Eclipse shouting. He knew where we were. The others all stood at a far distance, so they couldn't be seen. Although there was another set of footsteps, lighter... younger... quicker... they sounded... familiar....

Wait...

"Boys, hurry," I said through clenched teeth. They were unsure what I meant but decided not to ask.

Sun squeezed through the window first. Moon right after. They lifted me up my holding my arms. I was roughly halfway when I felt someone grab at my ankles, gripping harshly. Nails digging into my skin.

I didn't turn my head, I knew those nails belonged to Mars. The twins tried to pull me up, but with the strength of both Mars and Eclipse pulling me back inside, it was near impossible.

The two didn't give up, but... I could feel the sweat that began to form on their hands. They'd lose grip, I knew that.

And, no, I wasn't doing nothing. I was actually kicking–no... trying to kick Mars away. It worked... for a moment. I had my hands dug into the dirt, but slowly, I was losing my own grip.

"Twins!" I heard Cynthia yell. "Let's go!"

"But we can't–!" Sun began to yell.

Bird interrupted him, "So what!? We just needed to escape. One has to be a sacrifice!"

I was hurt... immediately, my grip on the dirt was gone. The sweat on my lovers hands finally caused the grip to go away.

I knew Eclipse and Mars were mad... Solar, too, probably. But I didn't care. My heart was too hurt to care. I was betrayed... I was only used....

As I was being dragged away, I could see the others, the ones that willingly spoke, yelling at her. She only shrugged, picked her sister up, and went away.

I'll get away on my own. And when I do... she and my mother– No! Forget my mother! Cynthia knew I trusted her, and now... she broke it. And I won't let that slide.
