When Mordecai caught Rainbow's phone number a while back, he didn't realize that getting added to a group chat by the multicolored girl would be so chaotic. Then again, women were a bit of a mystery to him anyway. Nearly all hours of the day, his phone would vibrate in the pocket of his backpack, and he eventually had to mute their chat in order to stay concentrated during school and tutoring sessions. But he couldn't deny it. Hanging out with the ponies was pretty damn fun.

"Who keeps texting you? It sounds like your phone is about to detonate."

He couldn't help but feel a sense of irony at the idea that he was now not only friends with Twilight's best friends, but they were planning on hanging out later that afternoon after Rainbow's soccer practice and his tutoring session was over. And also, for some reason, guilt. Guilty that his friends were keeping their friendship with him... not quite a secret, but still not telling her. Though, there was no way they could all hang out without a street brawl between Twilight and Mordecai taking place.

The blue jay glanced up at his tutor who had him locked with a raised brow before shuffling through his backpack to retrieve his phone and put it on silent.

"Sorry. Group chats, y'know?"

She hummed, and he knew that she had to be dealing with the same thing. Looking back down at her textbook she scribbled something in her notebook. Mordecai watched her for a second to make sure that she was nice and distracted, then carefully slipped his hand into his pocket to reply back to the girls.

Mordecai
wait whos coming again?

Rainbow
ha coming

Applejack
Me, Fluttershy, and Rainbow

Rarity
Shut up Rainbow

Mordecai
okay
I should be out in like half an hour

"Hey, do you think you could help me with this problem?" He asked, quickly tucking his phone away again when she looked up. With a nod, she scooted her chair over, sliding his notebook so that she could see the question better. As she entered his proximity, he couldn't help but notice the subtle hint of... gosh what was that scent? It was like those black cherry merlot candles that he smelled that one time when he and Rigby were wandering around the store with nothing to do. Mmm, yummy. His mind began to wander from the math problem to her violet colored skin that even seemed to match the labels of the jars that the candles come in themselves.
