Killer's Block

Veronica's POV:

So, Harley killed Clone Harley, pinned the blame for Nightwing's death on her, and took Batgirl to the hospital after Joker shot the latter to remedy Psycho's exposure of him as a liar. Now, Harley & I are fighting Joker's wife at his and her house to find Joker.

Harley: "Give him up."

Bethany: "I'll never betray the man I love."

Me: "Even after he disgraced your family on a podcast?!"

Harley: "He shot my friend. Now tell us where he is."

Bethany: "I'm an ER nurse. You'll have to kill me, bitches."

Harley: "I was hoping you'd say that."

But before we can do anything to Bethany, her kids appear behind us, armed with a meat cleaver and tenderizer.

Sophia: "Get out of our house, clowns."

Harley: "You don't wanna do this."

Me: "Harley, I want to find him too, but we can't..."

Thankfully, Bethany relents and hands Joker over to us. So, we tie him up and drag him out of the house.

Joker: "Bravo! Threatening children. It's certainly a new color of heroism for the Bat Family."

Harley: "I'm not in the Bat Family anymore."

{Time skip}

We arrive at the hospital Batgirl is in to drop off a casserole for her.

Harley: "Hope my favorite patient's hungry.-*sighs*-3 pillows? Come on, LeAnne. That is some shabby service."

Batgirl: *growls* "I said I'd call you when I'm discharged."

Harley: "I thought maybe your phone was stolen. Medical facilities are infamous for electronics theft."

Batgirl: "I asked for space to adjust to being paralyzed from the waist down, and you keep filling my room with casseroles. Who do you think washes all these?"

Harley: "I assume LeAnne. Not like she's doing anything else."

Batgirl: *opens computer* "Dude, I only have 4 minutes before shift change to hack into the billing system. So, thanks for stopping by, and congrats to Ronnie on the triplet thing, and welcome back from the babymoon in Tulum."

Batgirl points to the door, so we leave the room and are greeted in the hallway by her dad.

Harley: "I think she's on her period."

Jim: "Oh, Fates, release your grasp.-*kneels*-Take me instead. When I find the monster responsible for shooting my Babsy, these old tuna cans are going to tear him limb from limb, eat the very flesh off his bones, then make a soothing broth with his carcass to use in a base in stews. Then I'm going to learn how to make a stew."

Harley: "Look, I totally feel you, and I wish we could help, but I'm taking some me-time away from hero-ing."

{Time skip}

Having tied Joker to a tree in the Gotham Zoo, Harley & I dump buckets of meat juice onto him.

Joker: "Is this because I lied about killing Nightwing? See, I had to shoot Batgirl to make up for it. Now my comeback's double squashed. I have 1,000 'Joker Shot Batgirl' T-shirts sitting at the printer. I'm going to lose my deposit."
