i knocked on mcGonagalls office door and waited for her to invite me inside.

once she did i took a seat opposite her at her desk.

"how might i help you miss gaunt?" she asked politely

"i have a bit of a situation and i'd like your advice" i replied

"with what dear?" she asked

"well erm, i'm sort of pregnant and i need to know what you think i should do about keeping it" i blurted

"oh my, this is a tricky situation, however it has happened in the past and we found a way round it then" she spoke

the girl myrtle was talking about in the bathroom.

"What we offered her was that she remain at hogwarts and continue with her studies and may keep the baby with her under the supervision of a house elf whilst she was at classes as long as she maintained high grades. i can offer you the same" She said

that was an amazing offer.

but if i kept it here mattheo would find out.

i guess i'd just have to ride it out as long as possible.

"that sounds perfect, thank you professor" i replied

"your welcome dear and i wish you luck and please be careful" she replied with a sorrowful smile

i headed back to my dorm to tell pansy what was going to happen.

She was sitting on her bed reading.

"pansy!!!" i exclaimed as i walked into the room.

she immediately put her book down and got up.

"i have news!" we both said at the same time.

"you first" i insisted

"i'm going out with theo!" she shrieked

she's had a crush on theo forever.

"that's amazing pans!" i replied

"i didn't think he liked me but here we are!" she smiled

"what's your news?" she asked

"i just spoke to mcGonagall and she said i can have the baby here with a house elf to watch it whilst i attend classes!" i replied

"that's wonderful!" she answered as she gave me a hug

"but if you have it here won't mattheo find out?" she asked

"maybe but i plan to hide it from him as long as possible" i replied

"fair enough" she answered

"there's also a Slytherin party tonight, i understand if you don't want to go" she added

a party?

it might be good to go somewhere social.

i just won't drink.

"il go" i replied

"are you sure?" she asked

"yeah i need to get out of this dorm more" i said

she nodded.

"i just need to find something to wear" i said walking up to my wardrobe.

"everything still fits so far" i added

pansy came up next to me "how about this?" she asked holding up a silver dress.

"that could work" i smiled taking it from her.

"when does it start?" i asked

"7pm so 2 hours" she replied

"il head down to dinner grab some food and come back to get ready together" i said

"okay thanks" she answered as i headed down to the great hall.

the boys were all sat on the end of the table, including mattheo.

i took a deep breath and walked up to the table.

"hey" i said to them

"hi y/n" theo said with a smile

"im here to get food for me and pansy" i said

theo nodded and handed me a plate.

he also put a cinnamon bun on it "they're pansys favourite" he said

i smiled and put some other bits on the plate.

once it was full i headed back to my dorm.

i sat back down with pansy and placed the plate in between us

"right let's get ready" she said as she took a bite of the cinnamon bun

i agreed and picked up the dress from before and headed into the bathroom to change.

"erm pansy" i called out

"what's up?" she asked coming to the door

"it appears more has changed than i thought" i sighed gesturing to the zip that wouldn't go up on my dress

"it's okay we can get you something else" she said as she headed to my wardrobe.

"what about this one?" she said holding up a green silk dress

"il try it" i took it from her and put it on.

this one fit better.

"perfect, thanks" i said as i walked out the bathroom dressed in it.

"you look gorgeous" she exclaimed

"you do to pans" i replied

she had gotten changed into a dark blue sparkly dress that really suited her.

"are you sure you want to go?" she asked

"yes. i need to leave this dorm and get on with life" i said determined to make it work

"okay then" she smiled as we headed down to the party.

i had been in here only 30 minutes ago and it was empty and now it was full of Slytherins dancing everywhere.

i saw mattheo and his friends almost instantly by the drinks table.

i noticed pansy wanting to go over so i nodded to let her know i would be fine alone.

i made my way to the couch and took a seat watching over the party.
