...The mind of a young one...

       They say you're young,

      That you're are always wrong,

That you will never know more,

When you try to speak they shut you up,

When you you try to come in they'll slam the door,

Never help but criticize when you fall,

        Just because they are adults,

They think they can be little us,

Put us on our toes running their errands like a horse,

Nothing we ever do is good in their eyes,

Being cold to us like a hard Antarctic ice,

For once we want you to be nice,

Not when we see you we scram like a mice,

I know we can be annoying or even child like,

But to be honest that's what we are,

It's your job to make us better,

But the way you do it is so bitter,

You say one day we will see the world clearer,

But no you are a liar,

    The world is never clearer,

We just be what we can,

What you made us to be,

     What isn't our real reality,

You make us forget our goals and dreams,

Saying the world is cruel and mean,

That we have to be what it wants us to be,

Not what we want to be,

We go from a child with a dream,

   To a cold hearted teen,

We begin to say "it is what it is",

But don't forget that phrase kills.
