After spending the morning with Chris, Matt, and Nick, I spent the rest of the day with my dad. We went to museums and walked through the public garden. "What time are we invited to dinner?" my dad asked "at 7 p.m. We still have some time." I said "do you like Boston?" my dad asked.
"I love it here" I said "and do you like it?" I asked him. "It's a very beautiful city, something different than what we see every day" he said. I nodded in agreement and he was right, we had to get out of our everyday lives otherwise we would have drowned in everything. The time here is like a time out, a break from stress, problems and fear. "We have to buy a present? Flowers and cake is good, right?" My dad asked "yes, that sounds good" I said. "Then let's go to the car and we'll drive to a florist and a bakery" my dad said and we headed back to the car.

"You go to the florist and I'll go get the cake, okay?" my dad asked. "Yes" I said and we went our separate ways. I looked for the flower shop and found it around the corner. I walked into the store and an older lady came out of one of the back rooms. "Hello, how can I help you, pretty young lady?" she asked. "Thanks, I'm looking for a bouquet of flowers" I said. "Do you want something colorful or inconspicuous?" the lady asked. "Something similar to this" I said, pointing to a bouquet of flowers that consisted of roses that were white, some a little bit pink and other flowers that were pastel pink. "So one like that?" asked the older lady, pointing to one of the ones in the back. "Yes, I'd love to take one of them" I smiled. I paid for the flowers and said goodbye and walked out of the store. On the way to the car Nick texted me, I was surprised so I stopped to read his message and reply.
'Please promise me that when you get back home you won't forget us and come visit us again,' wrote Nick. I immediately thought about the conversation that morning. They were serious about it... 'I promise you. You won't lose me, I promise. I'll see you later and if you want we can talk about it again okay?' I wrote. I didn't wait for his message but ran straight to the car. We really had to hurry by now. We still have to get to the hotel and get ready and I need a lot of time..I had the perfect dress and I wanted to look perfect.

"Y/n please hurry up" said my dad who was already ready

"Y/n please hurry up" said my dad who was already ready. "Two more minutes" I shouted. All I had to do was put on my jewelry and then I was done. My hair was done, I curled it, my make-up was also done and I looked perfect. I put on my high heels, grabbed my handbag, not forgetting the bouquet of flowers and my dad and I left the hotel room. Even my dad dressed up in really good clothes, which was so sweet because he knew how much it meant to me. When we got into the car, he put the wrapped cakes on my lap and I still held the flowers in my hand. I was pretty excited, somehow hoping that Chris would find me perfect. I was afraid that he was thinking bad things, but where did these doubts come from so suddenly. But these thoughts disappeared the closer we got.

I handed the cake to my dad and I got out. I tugged at my dress because it was riding up and fixed my hair. "You look amazing," my dad said to make my worries go away. We went to the front door together and rang the bell. I was so excited that a few seconds felt like minutes. Marylou opened the door and opened it. "You're so beautiful" she said and gave me a big hug. She and my dad introduced each other and she closed the door. Nick coming down the stairs "damn girl you look stunning" he said with his mouth open and hugged me. "You look good too" I said. Everyone must have dressed up especially for tonight's dinner. "Should I take this from you?" asked Nick, reaching for the bouquet of flowers. "Yes please" I said and he walked ahead of me. Marylou had already put the cake in the fridge and my dad was already with the others. I followed Nick into the living room. "Wow" I heard Matt say, making Chris turn to me. "God damn it" he whispered when he saw me. He came up to me and hugged me. "You look good" I whispered. "I have no words for you, you are breathtaking" he said We moved a little away from each other and our eyes met. My hands played with his hair on the back of his neck and he held my lower back with his. We smiled at each other, I alternately looked from his eyes to his lips. "Wow, what's going on here?" a guy came down the stairs. I quickly turned around and the person came towards me "hey, I'm Justin, you're probably y/n. Nice to meet you" he said "yes, nice to meet you too" I said nicely. He walked past me to greet my dad. I smiled at Chris and took his hand and ran past him and he ran after me. But I let go of his hand again because I greeted Matt. He pulled me into a tight hug.
"you look so good. You always look good, don't get me wrong, but today-" he said "thank you, you're cute, you look good too" I said and gave him a kiss on the cheek. We all sat down at the table and a big conversation immediately ensued.
