"I swear to God if you dumbasses bang on my door one more time."

Leila had gotten fed up with the boys taking turns banging on her door so they could leave. First, it was her brother, then it was Steven, and then it was Jeremiah. While the boys took their sweet time getting ready, Leila was knocked out cold taking a nap. She didn't even think she was tired until she found the most comfortable position on her bed and slowly started to daze off.

She didn't wake up until Steven and Jeremiah burst through her door fifteen minutes ago to ask if she was ready or they would make her walk. In reality, they would never make her walk. If anything, she would steal the car keys and only drive herself and leave them to walk because they had each other's company.

Oliver opened her door, standing from the doorway he stated, "We're going outside right now, if you're not in the car when we pull off then it sucks to be you."

"God, can I put my shoes on first? Is that okay?"

"Just go barefoot" Steven yelled walking by first.

"Wear sandals," Jeremiah shouted right after, "Easier to take off if sand gets everywhere."

The boys made sure to hurry down the stairs and make the noise of a stampede so that she knew they weren't joking. Almost everyone was there and they didn't want to miss anything interesting.

Leila took Jeremiah's advice and slid on black open-backed sandals. As much as she wanted to go swimming, it was already getting dark and she had already showered so she didn't wear bathing suit; just a basic black baby tee top, jean shorts, and the same jewelry she wore daily which was her gold hoop earrings, her gold chain with her angel number on it hanging loosely and Conrad's seashell necklace a little bit higher so that it wouldn't get tangled with the other.

She lifted her hair with one hand and tucked the seashell necklace under her shirt so that it wasn't visibly seen. She didn't feel like dealing with the boys teasing her for wearing it every day when she barely spoke to Conrad. When she was done, she dropped her hand and let her hair fall back down onto her shoulders, it was almost completely dry. Just almost.

She heard Jeremiah's car start as she was running downstairs with her phone and chapstick tucked into her right hand. Leila yelled bye to the moms and Belly who she thought was inside but was swimming in the pool. She opened the front door and closed it behind her, running to the car and opening the door to the back knowing that Oliver already called shotgun to the front meaning Conrad and Steven were in the back. She was just hoping that Steven was in the middle.

Leila almost sighed out loud when she got in and Conrad was in the middle. They tortured her without knowing it. She didn't get to say anything as Jeremiah pulled off heading in the direction of the beach that the bonfire was on while Oliver connected his phone to the Bluetooth and was trying to pick a song.
