Finishing up the oxtail I made for me and paps, I brought the plates into the newly furnished kitchen to wash them.
Mom likes to come over here to check on paps and makes sure he is always comfortable.
Grabbing the sponge and some soap I washed me and paps plate because I knew he wasn't going to do it in the morning cause he had to go down the farm.
Bright and early 5:00am.
Going to my room after turning on the tv for paps I checked if I packed everything..
Phone..check
Charger..check
Purse...check
Car keys..check
Shoes..check
Ok I'm ready.
Going into the living room I sat down with paps..
"Yuh going to be okay?"
"Den mhi nuh muss mhi granddaughter"
"Call me or mommy if yuh need anything ok?"
"Alright dear"
"And don't over work yuh self, dats why yuh back keep hurting.
Oh and the back cream on the nightstand in yuh room"
"Alright mhi granddaughter"
"And mek sure yuh rub it on.."
"Affi tank God fhi mhi daughter and granddaughter Eno.."
His eyes started to get watery.
"Paps don't cryyy

Now feeling sad the tears came.
After having a literal crying session with paps I was now heading out..
Turning the keys to my Honda fit I threw the bags to the back and kissed paps goodbye
Im gonna miss the old man..
We prayed before I came in the car so I should be in Gods hands
Starting the engine and turning off the red dirt I started my journey.
