Midnight had arrived, and Y/n and Ella found themselves huddled together on Ella's bed, engrossed in watching the popular Korean drama, "True Beauty." The soft glow of the tablet illuminated their faces as they followed the dramatic love triangle unfolding on the screen.

Ella stretched her legs out and sighed, her eyes fixed on the turmoil of the second lead character. "I felt so bad for the second lead. They always have the right intentions, and they're so loyal, yet they end up heartbroken."

Y/n turned to look at her friend, her mind racing with the implications of Ella's words. Was she also like a second lead in her own story, always there but never truly recognized? The thought gnawed at her heart, but she kept her emotions hidden behind a calm exterior. "Yeah, it's unfair how they're treated," she agreed.

Ella, fully immersed in the drama, muttered, "He doesn't deserve that girl, jeez!"

Y/n couldn't help but let out a small, bitter laugh. The words struck a chord with her, and she couldn't deny the similarity between her own life and the drama they were watching. Yet, she chose to keep her thoughts to herself, knowing that the script of her own life might never match the fairy tales she'd hoped for. As the dramatic tension in the K-drama escalated, Ella's frustration boiled over.

"Man! Why did he let her go to Suho?" she snapped. "Why the hell did they make this ideal type of guy heartbroken? It's so unfair!"

Y/n watched the scenes unfold, her mind elsewhere. She had been lost in her thoughts since dinner, and Ella's question brought her back to reality. Ella's keen observation didn't go unnoticed.

Y/n forced a small smile and replied, "I'm just tired, you know, Ella. It's been a long day."Ella studied her with concern in her eyes. "You sure? You seem a bit off tonight."

Y/n nodded, her thoughts swirling like a storm inside her head. "Yeah, I'm sure. It's just been a lot on my mind lately. But let's enjoy the drama. I promise I'm fine."

Ella seemed satisfied with her answer, at least for the moment, and they returned to the screen to witness the drama's unfolding love story. In her silence, Y/n wrestled with her unspoken emotions, hoping to find the courage to face them someday. The next morning, Y/n woke up in her pajamas, feeling the need for a fresh set of towels. She realized there weren't any in her room and decided to head downstairs to find Mrs. Jeon to ask for some.

As she made her way to the hallway, her thoughts consumed by the simplest of tasks, she was suddenly greeted by the unexpected sight of Jungkook. He had just returned from the gym, still dressed in workout clothes. His face was flushed from the exercise, and he was breathing heavily, a fine sheen of sweat glistening on his skin.

Stunned by his presence, Y/n's mind seemed to stop functioning. She managed to stammer out a faint, "Good morning," as he walked past her, his sculpted figure causing her heart to race.

Jungkook offered a warm smile in return but continued on his way. Y/n stood there, trying to regain her composure, her heart pounding in her chest. Y/n shook herself out of the daydream with a determined inner scolding. "I should stop daydreaming," she yelled at herself inside her head as she focused on munching her breakfast.

Around her, all the family members were already seated and enjoying their morning meal. They engaged in cheerful conversations, laughter filling the air. Y/n tried her best to blend in, even though her heart still raced from the unexpected encounter with Jungkook earlier.

As she ate, Y/n's phone suddenly buzzed in her lap. She glanced down to see a notification from a dating app. Confusion washed over her as she realized that Ella had taken it upon herself to set up a profile on her behalf. She couldn't believe her friend's audacity, and her face turned a shade of pink.

Glancing around the table to make sure no one had noticed, Y/n quickly dismissed the notification. She felt a mix of embarrassment and annoyance but also a strange flicker of curiosity about what Ella had done. Her thoughts, however, were interrupted by Mr. Jeon, who started a lively discussion about their plans for the day. As Mr. and Mrs. Jeon prepared to leave for their charity event, the plan for the day became clear. Y/n, Ella, and Jungkook would spend the day together, starting with a visit to a cafe followed by some shopping. The atmosphere in the Jeon household was cheerful, with everyone discussing their respective plans for the day.

However, as Ella headed toward the garage to get in the car, Y/n stopped her in her tracks, her eyes darting to where Jungkook was standing, engrossed in his phone.

"We need to talk," Y/n said to Ella in a hushed tone, her gaze locked on Jungkook to ensure he wasn't eavesdropping.

Ella turned to her in confusion. "About what?"

Y/n leaned closer to Ella, her voice barely a whisper. "That dating app, too many notifications!" She muttered, visibly frustrated.

Ella's eyes lit up mischievously. "Finally," she said, grinning as she opened the car door and pulled Y/n into the back seat with her.

Y/n hissed in protest. "The hell, Ella! You can't just go through my phone!" She whispered loudly, shooting a sidelong glance at Jungkook, who sat in the driver's seat, watching them with a puzzled expression.

Ella chuckled and shrugged off Y/n's complaint, her eyes dancing with amusement. "Come on, Y/n, it's for your good. I just wanted to help you find someone special."

Y/n rolled her eyes once more, her heart still pounding with embarrassment as she glanced nervously at Jungkook. He had put his phone down and now sat in the driver's seat, seemingly waiting for them to get in the car. "Well, you didn't need to go through my phone. It's private."

Ella's grin remained undeterred. "You're too shy to do it yourself, so I had to take matters into my own hands."

The situation became increasingly awkward, with Y/n and Ella continuing their hushed conversation in the backseat, while Jungkook patiently sat up front, casting curious glances in their direction. He couldn't hear their words, but he was undoubtedly aware that something was amiss. Y/n reached her limit and muttered, "I'm going to delete that app."

Ella exclaimed in disbelief, a bit louder than intended, "What? No! You've got someone who swiped right on you, for goodness' sake. Now somebody can clear up your... holy hole!"

Y/n's face turned scarlet as she stuttered, "Did you just say... I—"

Jungkook, who had been observing the entire exchange, interrupted with a raised eyebrow. "Girls, shall I proceed?" He couldn't help but smirk at their bickering and confusion.

Y/n sank further into her seat, internally screaming with mortification. She wished the ground would just open up and swallow her whole. If murdering someone were legal right now, she'd gladly do it to escape the embarrassment she was feeling. She turned toward Ella's side of the car and noticed her phone in Ella's hand.

Ella, who had been perusing the dating app, exclaimed, "Ahh, this guy looks handsome and decent. He could be a great date—"

Before she could finish her sentence, Y/n interrupted in a panic. "Ella, my phone?" Her eyes widened as she realized that Ella was flipping through her potential matches in front of Jungkook.

Ella burst into laughter, her eyes sparkling with mischief, while Y/n's face turned a shade of crimson that rivaled a ripe tomato. "Oops," Ella said, handing the phone back to Y/n with a playful grin. "Sorry, Y/n. I just wanted to help you find a good match."Y/n took her phone with a nervous laugh, feeling the weight of embarrassment lift just slightly. She couldn't believe she'd been caught in such an awkward situation in front of Jungkook. It was going to be a long day.
