"I swear, Jendeukie, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you've been replaced by a cute, shy version of yourself."

Jisoo's amused voice came from Jennie's phone. The younger girl rolled her eyes.

"You're full of shit, Chu. I'm always cute.",

Jennie replied as dryly as possible, trying to suppress the nervousness in her voice. Definitely unsuccessfully, she could practically hear her best friend grinning.

"I'm just saying. You're acting cuter than usual, like you really are a shy person. It's hard to believe I didn't notice earlier that you just wish for Lisa to take yo-"

"Jisoo!",

Jennie hissed before the sentence was finished. She was all too glad that Jisoo couldn't see her right now, otherwise she would definitely have teased Jennie even more.

"Am I wrong?",

Jisoo wanted to know. Jennie grumbled and took a glass of water.

"Yes, you're wrong! I'm always a shy person, and you know it. I'm just good at hiding it, as long as I'm relatively indifferent to the opinions of the people around me."

"You just admitted that you care about Lisa's opinion, honey. And at the same time you confirmed that you'd like Lisa to be above you, otherwise you would have disagreed with me."

Jennie almost choked on her water, while Jisoo laughed hard.

"God, Jennie, you can't even hide it on the phone!",

she croaked.
Jennie muttered something under her breath, something that sounded like 'shut up' and 'like you're not a completely different person when Rosie's around', before putting the glass back down and continuing to clean up. Jisoo sighed, but was highly amused.

"I still can't believe Lisa asked if she could stay the night with me...",

Jennie mumbled, more intelligibly than before, as she thought back to yesterday's scene. It was very surprising at first, but the next moment she realized (after Jisoo grinned meaningfully at her and waggled her eyebrows) that her best friend must have been talking to Rosie. Jennie was grateful, but she would never say it out loud. Jisoo snorted.

"Don't act like you didn't agree right away."

Jennie bit down hard on her lower lip.

"What was I supposed to do? Say no? Then Rosie wouldn't be able to spend the night with you, you'd better be grateful."

Jisoo just laughed.

"It was your own decision, Jendeukie. I didn't even ask you to do it. Besides, what's so special about Lisa spending the night at your place? I sleep over all the time. I slept over just last night."

"You're not Lisa." ,

Jennie argued without hesitation.
Jisoo giggled.

"Right, it's different with your crush."

Jennie opened her mouth to object, then closed it again. There was no point in denying her feelings for Lisa. Jisoo already knew far too much. So she just kept quiet and put her cell phone on her bookshelf so that she had both hands free.

"You're really cleaning the whole house again?",

Jisoo asked after a few seconds, giving Jennie the chance to change the subject. The younger girl jumped at the chance.

"For the fourth time, yes. Do you mind?"

"Yes. For example, that you literally have a maid. Ah, how is Jimin anyway?"
