Jennie sat stubbornly on her large bed with her arms crossed and her eyes narrowed at her opposite. In contrast to her, Jisoo looked completely relaxed, but she didn't want to back down either.

It wasn't often that the two Kims argued.
Sure, a little disagreement here and there, or different moral standards were not unusual. Jisoo, for example, thought it was absolutely fine to smear the bathroom walls as long as you didn't offend anyone. The older girl enjoyed reading funny sayings and her favorite was: Here I sit and hesitate; shall I shit or masturbate. Jennie was sure that Jisoo had written it herself, but the older girl stubbornly denied it.

However, such a small thing would never have led to Jennie really being as annoyed with Jisoo as she was at that moment.

"And why can't it be him? He's my best lead!"

Jisoo sighed.

"He's your only lead."

"No. Lisa is my second lead.",

Jennie objected.
Jisoo shrugged unconcernedly.

"Fine, whatever. Either way, I can assure you that neither of them is behind your stalkers."

Jennie's eyes darkened.
Perhaps that was the reason why she was so annoyed with her best friend today. Normally, Jisoo had an explanation for everything, a logical reason, even if it was just her own amusement, as in the case of the scribbled-on bathroom walls.
If that had been the case today, Jennie could have just accepted it. Hell, by now she was even smiling at some of the jokes.
But for some reason, Jisoo couldn't tell her why Jackson Wang couldn't be the stalker.

"What do you mean, stalkers? There are more than one?",

she asked.
Jisoo blinked in surprise, then shrugged.

"I don't know.",

she lied, a little too obviously. She had hesitated a moment too long. A moment that was so unusual for Jisoo, and Jennie noticed immediately.
Jennie clenched her teeth so hard, they gnashed.

"Jisoo. Are you hiding something from me?",

she pressed out.
Jisoo snorted.

"Obviously. Otherwise I would have told you how I knew.",

she admitted dryly.
Jennie massaged her temple.

"I know how you got your information. I'm not stupid, Jisoo. Of course you talked to Rosie."

She looked at Jisoo, expectantly.
The older girl didn't argue.

"Jisoo."

"Jennie."

"Can you at least tell me why I can't know? Or maybe give me a little hint as to why it can't be Jackson?",

she asked hopefully.
But Jisoo pressed her lips together and didn't say a word. Jennie waited patiently for a few, long seconds before her hope slowly faded.
Frustrated, Jennie slumped face-first into her pillow, clawing her nails into the soft fabric. There were probably holes in her pillowcase now. Not that it mattered. All the better than screaming and scaring her dog.
Still, Jennie really wanted to scratch Jisoo's face.

"Bloody hell. Seriously Jisoo?",

she growled into the fabric
Still, no response.
Jennie looked up again, flinging her pillow at Jisoo's head.

"Kim Jisoo!"

The older girl looked up, and her determined expression turned to concern when she saw the tears on Jennie's cheek.
Immediately, she instinctively reached out to gently wipe the tears from her cheek.
As always.
