I Said I'm Fine (Jake Pov)

Shit, shit shit shit! why did I do that. I'm such a dumbass. Johnnie is straight. he doesn't like me like that. he probably thinks I'm weird and disgusting. I plopped down on my bed, burying my face into my pillows, sighing heavily. I heard a notification go off on my phone. I picked up my phone to check the notification. 'Tara' Curious, I opened the message.

Tara: hey, I'm making a video where I'm going to make a huge pile of nachos. wanna help me?'

Jake: Yeah that sounds good.

Tara: Is it ok if we do this at your house?

Jake: Yeah it's cool, I'll see you later! :)

I put my phone down. maybe recording a video will calm me down and keep my mind off Johnnie for a while. I heard a loud crash downstairs. Johnnie! I rushed downstairs to see what was going on. "Johnnie? are you ok? I heard a loud sound. I heard a huff in response "Yeah, I'm fine, I tried to grab something from the shelf, but it was too high up" I looked all around the kitchen and saw, pots and pans scattered. "Were you trying to cook something?" 

He nodded his head, frustrated. "You put your stuff too high up." he said, crossing his arms, looking at me. I laughed "no, you're just short." I teased, looking back at him. he glared at me "Sh-Shut up" I laughed again. "Come on. I'll help you clean this up." he said nothing in response and just nodded his head. "Jake. why did you run off?" He suddenly asked. I froze slightly, nervous. "It's nothing. I just really needed to.... to take a shit." I quickly came up with.

He gave me the 'dude, seriously' look. "you can tell me the truth you know. If you think I'm mad about you touching me, I'm not." I looked away from him. I felt Johnnie's gaze, burn into me "Really Johnnie, I'm fine. everything is fine." Johnnie clearly knew I was lying, but if he knew what was really going on, he probably wouldn't want to be around me anymore. our friendship would be ruined. Johnnie sighed in defeat. "fine. I'll drop it. something is bothering you, Jake. and if you want to talk to me, I'm always here to listen." 

God, he's so caring, he cares too much for me, it hurts. that's why I love him so much. I love everything about him. I just wish he felt the same way about me. "Tara is coming over soon by the way." I said, changing the subject quickly. he nodded in response, not saying anything. it almost looked like he was disappointed. 

*Time Skip*

I heard someone knock on the door. I quickly rushed over to open the door.
