"Fuck this shit," Andre exclaimed with frustration, his anger fueling every step as he stormed off into the depths of the forest. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at his impulsive behavior, but it didn't take long for the rest of our group to follow him.

"We don't even know where we're going," Marie protested, her exasperation evident. It was clear that everyone's emotions were running high, especially with the ongoing situation involving Cate.

Amid the chaos, a woman suddenly emerged, her voice trembling as she cried out, "Caleb! Caleb!" We all watched the distressing scene unfold, utterly bewildered by the turn of events.

"Ma'am, we've been looking for three days," the sheriff calmly assured the woman.

"Caleb?" Jordan wondered aloud, prompting an eye-roll from me. How he managed to ask such a question at a time like this was beyond me.

"Yeah, that was Cate's brother's name," Andre chimed in, making the situation painfully obvious.

"Holy heck, we're in Cate's memories," I realized with a sinking feeling. It was a sobering revelation.

As I spoke, a young Cate rushed towards her mother, who appeared terrified of her. The day was getting worse by the minute. Cate pleaded desperately with her mother, but it was the sheriff who eventually beckoned her to follow him to meet the dogs. My heart ached for Cate – no child deserved to be treated as a monster, regardless of their actions.

With Cate's fading figure, the trees around us began to disintegrate. Suddenly, a thunderous voice shattered the silence, making us all turn our heads in shock.

"Hey, what are you fresh sacks of fuck nuts doing in here?" The voice was unmistakable. Soldier Boy.

I couldn't contain my excitement as I saw him approach. The others looked at me, causing me to quickly compose myself.

"What's Soldier Boy doing here?" Marie muttered, her gaze fixed on the imposing figure.

"I'm Cate's imaginary friend from her childhood, more like a boyfriend, really," he said snarkily, causing everyone to turn to Andre, waiting for his reaction.

"I taught her how to jerk off, flick that bean, and she came like a faucet," Soldier Boy continued, his words leaving us all aghast.

"That must be a universal thing with you, because I know she's not the only one," I stated honestly, staring at the man I had once fantasised about when i was younger. Everyone looked at me oddly, and I raised my hands in defense.

"Can you blame me? Have you seen him?"

Soldier Boy's smirk widened at my confession, and I felt Jordan move closer, his arm wrapping around my waist. Leaning in, he whispered into my ear, "Why don't you tell everyone how I make you feel?" His warm breath sent shivers down my spine, leaving me at a loss for words.I tried to pull away from him causing his grip to tighten on my waist.

"She was raw dogging her pillow every night," Soldier Boy added, sharing more of Cate's childhood secrets.

"That's an image I definitely didn't need," Marie exclaimed, her disgust shared by the rest of us.

"Cate wants you guys here for a reason. Before you get stuck in here, know that her mind is unraveling in real time. If Cate turns into a vegetative state, so do you," Soldier Boy explained, casting a grim shadow over our group.

"If that's happened to her imaginary friend, what's going to happen to us?" Jordan voiced his concern, and a heavy tension settled among us.

"God, you're lucky you're pretty, because the questions you ask sometimes are questionable as hell," I retorted, adding a touch of humor to our dire situation.

All of sudden, Solider Boys body was struck by thunder, causing me to let out a cry for my childhood crush. The scenary yet again around us started to dissipate causing me to continue walking through the forest.

As we ventured further into the dense forest, we stumbled upon a window framed by cracked wood, that displayedCate's room. It was as we had stepped into the very pages of her past.

"Keep your distance from her mother," Her mother whispered to the women we all knew, Sherry. There she stood with eyes that held an uncanny emptiness, fooling a younger and naive Cate. We dared not to say anything yet watched the scene unfold in front of us.

We watched in silence as they both conversed, their exchange heavy with emotions.

"What did she do to you, Cate?" I whispered to myself, unable to tear my eyes away from the bottle of pills that mirrored the ones similar to my own. But before I could ponder further, a sudden transition whisked us away to a familiar place.

We found ourselves in the classroom where we used to have our lessons. The sight of it, long untouched, brought back a rush of memories. "I haven't been in class for months," I remarked, my words echoing with nostalgia.

I took a seat at the back, with Jordan by my side, watching as Cate and Luke engaged in conversation, an encounter we had never witnessed before. The atmosphere was heavy with unspoken tension.

"We should leave; I can't be here," Andre's voice broke through the silence. As we turned to look at him, I noticed Luke's gaze was fixed on Andre. It puzzled me how Luke could be so aware in this strange world.

"I miss you, man," Luke said, his eyes locked on Andre.

"I miss you too, man, so damn much," Andre responded, tears welling up in his eyes. Luke's expression shifted to one of disbelief.

"But you know what? I don't believe you. You thought I didn't know?" Luke's anger was palpable, and he stared at Andre with eyes filled with hatred.

"Andre, what's he talking about?" Jordan asked, getting up from his chair. I placed my hand over his, urging him to stay seated.Suddenly, the room plunged into darkness, and a video began playing, revealing Andre and Cate engaged in an intimate act.

"This just got ten times worse," I muttered under my breath. Since the beginning of the term, i felt like i've barely know anything about what's been going on with these people i call friends.

"You went behind my back," Luke's voice seethed, and he erupted in flames shooting it at us.In a frenzy, we fled the room, eventually taking shelter in Jordan's desk room outside Brinks office . The weight of disbelief pressed down on us as we all stared at Andre.

"Seriously, Andre? You're that guy?" I couldn't help but scoff, convinced that Andre's reputation as a friend was beyond salvation. Before we could delve into the situation further, strange noises emerged from Brink's office, intensifying our confusion.

Jordan cautiously approached the door, but before they could open it,they bumped into themselves. It was then that the colour drained from their face as they realized the truth.

"This isn't Cate's memory; it's mine."
