Oscar arrived at the graduation ceremony with a little time on hand. As he looked for his seat he spotted Maeve's mum.

Vivian warmly greeted Oscar, her face radiating with joy. She stood up from her seat to give him a heartfelt hug. "Oh, Oscar, it's wonderful to see you here," she exclaimed. "I know Maeve will be thrilled."

Oscar smiled in response, grateful for the warm welcome. "I wouldn't have missed it for the world," he replied. Vivian introduced him to her boyfriend, "Edward, this is Maeve's best friend, Oscar," Vivian said.

Edward extended his hand for a friendly handshake. "The F1 driver? I hope you liked the autograph," he said with a chuckle.

Oscar returned the handshake with a warm smile. "You got that? Thank you so much. It's great to meet you". The announcement came to take their seats, and Oscar sat next to Vivian and Edward, looking forward to celebrating Maeve's accomplishments during the graduation ceremony.

The graduation ceremony proceeded with its formalities, but as soon as Maeve's name was announced, they erupted into applause, cheering for her with great enthusiasm. She walked up to the stage with a wide smile, feeling their pride and support wash over her.

When the ceremony finally came to a close, Oscar and her family eagerly waited for Maeve to join them. The moment she spotted him standing alone, her heart raced, and she couldn't contain her excitement. "Oscar!" she called out, sprinting toward him.

Oscar, equally thrilled, turned around and was more than ready to greet her. He swept her into a tight hug, his strong arms lifting her slightly off the ground. Her lips met his in a deep, passionate kiss.

After they pulled away, Oscar's voice was barely above a whisper, filled with admiration, "Wow."

Maeve looked deeply into his eyes and confessed, "I missed you."

Oscar, his gaze locked on her, responded with a hint of playfulness, "I should stay away more often if this is the treatment I get." And then, without wasting a second, he captured her lips once again, sealing their reconnection with the sweet taste of a kiss.

Vivian cleared her throat and exchanged a knowing glance with Edward, Maeve's boyfriend, who was trying to suppress a chuckle. "You told me they were best friends," Edward whispered to Vivian.

"That's what she said," Vivian responded quietly as they observed the unfolding interaction between the young couple.

Maeve and Oscar, finally sensing Vivian's presence, turned their attention to her. "Should we know something?" Vivian asked, her curiosity piqued.

Maeve grinned and made a dramatic gesture, introducing her boyfriend. "Mum, this is my BOYFRIEND, Oscar Piastri."

Vivian's eyes widened with surprise. "When did this happen?" she inquired, genuinely shocked by the revelation.

"During the Australian GP, but it really started in Monaco, I believe," Oscar explained, remembering the gradual development of their relationship.

Vivian couldn't hide her amusement, and she couldn't help but tease her daughter. "You both had the audacity to hide this for this long? I've shipped you both for the longest time, you know."

Maeve was utterly perplexed. "What? Shipped us? Since when?"

"Yeah, I've wished you both were together since you were what? Eighteen?" Vivian disclosed, grinning playfully. "Don't blame me, he's the first boy you brought home." She winked at Oscar, who couldn't help but join in the laughter.

After grabbing dinner together and spending some quality time, Maeve and Oscar decided to retire to their rooms. "You staying with me?" Oscar asked, a hopeful look in his eyes.
