Louri’s POV
Scarlett and I were laying on our bed taking a nap. After some time I had woken up and was looking up at the ceiling thinking about things. I will be deploying in a month and I just hate that I’ll be missing out on some things. Scarlett being potentially pregnant and her cute little baby bump. Anything that the twins or Devon will be doing. I love my job, I don’t like being away from my family. “What’s going on in that beautiful mind?” I hear Scarlett ask in her sleepy voice. “Oh just the deployment coming up and how I’ll be missing out on things,” I say not looking over at her. I feel her place her hand on my cheek and gently moving me to face her. “Baby, I know that you will be away but I will take many pictures and videos of the kids, we will have FaceTime and phone calls. You always fight hard to come back to us.” She says, making me smile. “Will you keep me updated with your pregnancy if you get pregnant?” I ask nervously. “Of course I will, I will not let you miss out on anything. I will have my mom and your mom with me and I will record any appointments I go to for check ups until we know when you will be coming home.” She tells me and I smile and kiss her. “Thank you for calming me down,” I say as I hold her close to me burying my face in her neck, inhaling her scent. “Of course, I don’t ever want you to feel left out,” she says, gently rubbing my back. We enjoy this quiet moment together, I place light kisses on her neck, jaw and lips making her giggle and smile. Music to my ears. While we are laying together, the door slightly opens and Gizmo jumps up on the bed and makes his way onto my side. “Hey buddy,” I say, petting him as he purrs, nudging his head against my hand. “Guess I’ll be missing him too while I’m away,” I say as I continue to pet him. “Don’t worry, he will be extremely loved and taken care of while you’re away,” Scarlett tells me. We decide to get up and head back downstairs.

Scarlett’s POV
While we walk downstairs, I see Devon in the kitchen helping Bri and Shanna with lunch. He is such a great helper. Maya and Louisa are on the couch with Chris watching Frozen. I walk over to them and place kisses on top of their heads. “Mommy!” The girls exclaim getting up on the couch and hugging me. I hug them close and then look down at them, these hormones really are messing with me but in a good way. Just makes me appreciate my family even more. “Will you sit with us and watch Frozen?” Maya asks. “Of course sweetie.” I walk around the couch and sit down next to Chris and smile at him which he returns and we continue to watch the movie. Maya scoots closer to me laying her head on my chest as I put my arm around her holding her close to me. Louisa laying against Chris. She has him wrapped around her finger.

Louri’s POV
I smile seeing Scarlett join the girls and Chris watching Frozen. I’m pretty sure this is like the 20th time they have watched it but they get excited each time they watch it. I can’t blame them though, it’s a great movie. Olaf is my favorite. “How was your nap?” Shanna asks, snapping me out of my thoughts. “It was good, thank you for making lunch and entertaining Devon,” I say to her. “Of course, I love spending time with my nephew,” she says smiling. “What did you guys make?” I ask. “Pulled pork sliders and homemade chips,” she says. “I love your pulled pork, it’s so good,” I tell her. “Only the best for the best,” she says, making me smile. I hug her, trying not to get too emotional. “Don’t get all soft on me now,” she says, making me laugh. “I won’t,” I tell her, giving her a little nudge. “It should be ready, will you set the table?” She asks. “Yeah, I’ll get right on it,” I say, moving to the cabinets to grab plates and glasses. I set up the table and the girl’s high chairs. “Lunch is ready,” Devon announces. Everybody heads to the table, I pull out Scarlett’s chair and push her in, getting a kiss on the cheek in thanks. I put the girls in their high chairs and Devon sits next to Scarlett. “I hope you all will enjoy these pulled pork sandwiches and chips, Devon was very helpful with making everything,” Shanna says, making Devon smile big. We dig in and from the sounds and looks of it, everybody really enjoyed everything. Once we have finished eating, everybody thanks Devon, Shanna and
Bri for the amazing food. They retreat back to the living room and I decide to clean up, putting the dishes in the dishwasher and wiping down the table. After cleaning up, I head into the living room and sit on my arm chair and Devon comes over to me and sits on my lap cuddling into me. I put my arms around him and hold him close. Gizmo comes over and hops onto us as well, snuggling into our side. I cherish these little moments, best core memories created.
