Chapter 65
Louri's POV
In the morning I wake up and notice that Devon and Maya have joined us in bed as well. Good thing we have a California king size bed. Not sure when they got into bed with us though. I turn my head and see Scarlett asleep with her arm around Louisa, she must've shifted during the night. I smile and rub Devon's back as he stirs awake a little. "Hey little Marine," I whisper to not wake the others. "Hi Mama," he says sleepily. "When did you and Maya get in here?" I ask him. "I don't know, I woke up from a nightmare and came in here and saw Maya and Louisa in here so I climbed into bed too," he says. "I'm sorry you had a nightmare buddy, you could've woken us," I tell him as I rub his back. "It's ok, I felt safe as soon as I laid down," he says, smiling up at me and laying his head on my shoulder. I wrap my arms around him and hold him close, placing a kiss on his head. He snuggles close and I bring the blanket up on us and lay with him, he immediately falls back asleep. Since I'm not feeling tired anymore I reach for a book on my nightstand and start reading. After some time, Scarlett starts to wake up and she looks over smiling that the kids are with us in bed. "Good morning baby," she says. "Good morning," I say. "Looks like we got the whole crew in bed, what happened?" She asks. "Well not sure about Maya, but Devon told me he had a nightmare and came into our room and saw Maya and Louisa and decided to join us. "Oh my Angel," she says. "I know, but he said he felt safe as soon as he laid down and was able to fall back asleep," I tell her. "Good, I'm glad he came to us," she says. I set my book down and put my arm around the kids and Scarlett and hold them close. She smiles and puts her arm on top of mine. We lean in and kiss a little. "Yuck," we hear Maya and Louisa, making us laugh. "It was just a kiss," I say, as they scrunch up their faces. "Oh looks like someone wants to be attacked with kisses!" I exclaim and start giving Maya kisses on her face and Scarlett does the same to Louisa causing them to giggle. Devon wakes up and laughs once I give him some kisses too. "Enough, enough," Mama they say, making me stop and smile. "Just wanted to show we love you," I say. "We love you too," they say, smiling. Thomas starts crying. "Uh oh, someone must be feeling left out," I say, as Scarlett gets out of bed and gently picks him up and brings him into bed, rocking him. He looks up at her all smiley with big eyes. "That didn't take long," I say, laughing a little. "He knows when Mommy's got him," Scarlett says.

Scarlett's POV ⚠️⚠️ (some talk of postpartum)
"Kids, why don't you go to your rooms and get dressed and Mama and I will start making breakfast," I say. "Ok," they say and get up from bed and run out the room. Thomas gets a little fussy so I lift my shirt to feed him. "Limited time membership," Louri says, making me glare at her. "What? It's true," she says, as I roll my eyes and laugh a little. Once he's fed I pass him to Louri to burp. I get out of bed and grab my robe and walk over to Louri's side of the bed and give her a kiss. "What's that for?" She asks. "Just because," I say and kiss her a little deeper pulling her bottom lip as I pull away letting it go with a pop and turn around to walk out of the room. "Hey that's not fair," I hear her say as I leave our room, making me smirk. I love teasing her because she gets all touchy with me then. I head downstairs and see that Mom is making breakfast. "Good morning sweetie," she says. "Good morning Mom, you didn't have to do this," I tell her. "Of course I did, you just had Thomas a couple days ago, you need all the rest you can get," she says. "Speaking of which, where is my little man," she asks. "Louri is burping him and will change him and bring him down," I tell her, making her nod. "There's some decaf coffee on the pot," Mom says. "I could've pumped and dumped," I tell her. "I know but I figured it'd be easier," she tells me. I walk over and pour a cup and put in some Irish creamer. Hopefully I can get some taste into this coffee. I take a sip gagging a little. "Oh stop being ridiculous," Mom says. "It's so gross," I say, making her shake her head. After a few minutes Louri walks down with Thomas in a red onesie. "Tommy is burped and changed and ready to go," she says. "Theres the little guy," Dad says walking into the kitchen. "Can I hold him?" He asks. "Of course," Louri says and hands him over to him. Louri walks over to me wrapping her arms around me and whispers in my ear," that wasn't very nice what you pulled upstairs." "I just like when you get all touchy and clingy," I tell her, making her smirk and grab my ass and kiss me. "Not in the kitchen," Mom says, making us laugh. We separate and Louri goes to pour coffee. "It's decaf," I tell her. "There's black coffee in the thermos for you," Mom says. "What? Oh come on" I say. "I'll let you have a little babe," Louri says, pouring me some into a mug. I smell it and sigh and take a sip. "Much better," I say, making Louri laugh. "Now you're going to have a caffeinated baby," Mom says. "I promise to pump and dump Mom, coffee is too good to be changing to decaf" I say. Once Mom finishes cooking we sit at the table and eat. Thomas is gurgling up a storm in Dad's arms, which makes him laugh and smile. I love seeing how he is with the kids. They all love him very much. After breakfast Louri does the dishes and Mom takes the kids to the living room with Dad. I walk over to Louri and wrap my arms around her and kiss the back of her neck. "I love watching you do dishes," I say. "Oh yeah?" She says. "Yea I get to see all your muscles contract in your arms and it's so hot," I tell her. She turns off the water and dries her hands and turns around and leans down to kiss me. I wrap my arms around her neck and continue to kiss her, she swipes her tongue on my bottom lip and I open my mouth letting her tongue dominate mine. I lowly moan so the others won't hear. She pulls me closer to her as we kiss. We pull away when breathing becomes a problem and I smile up at her.⚠️⚠️ "I love you," I say. "I love you too," she says. I get a little teary eyed. "What's wrong?" She asks. "I think it's just a little postpartum emotions," I tell her. "Will you hold me?" I ask. "Of course," she says and holds me close as I breathe in her scent and relax, holding onto her tight as if she might disappear. She sways us back and forth gently in the kitchen whispering sweet nothings in my ear to help keep me calm. Mom walks into the kitchen but sees us and walks back out to let us be. I cry a little more but Louri just holds me close, placing a kiss to my head every once in a while.

A/N: Hey everyone, Chris here. Little bit of an emotional chapter. I know postpartum is never easy for mothers but I hope everyone knows they matter and are able to seek some help.
