"and she took the bait" said ricky, laughing as he put his phone back in his pocket. he then put his head back on gyuvin's shoulder.

"do we just wait?"

"i'll wait. you can go scope out a hiding spot.. outside" he soon a heard a groan from gyuvin.

ricky's mischievous grin widened as he continued, "come on, it'll be fun. besides, i'll text you if anything interesting happens."

gyuvin, still reluctant, finally agreed with a resigned sigh. "alright, fine. i'll find a good hiding spot outside and keep an eye out."

he rubbed gyuvin's hair before he got up and walked out of the cafe. as ricky watched gyuvin leave, he couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement.

a couple minutes later, miri walked in the door.
time to take her down.

"don't you want any drinks?" asked miri, sitting down. she was wearing a black shirt with flowers all over with blue jeans.

"i don't want anything. anyways, i wanted to ask you about the chemistry work." he soon found himself wishing gyuvin was here.

"i'm a bit lost on the last chapter. do you think you could help me understand it? gyuvin usually explains things so well."

he watched as miri attempted to keep a smile on her face. "sure thing. let me see the paper."

time to start.

"so, what happened in school while i was gone?"

"nothing.... well two thing did happen" miri's eyes darted away for a moment before returning to meet his gaze.

his curiosity piqued, he leaned in a bit closer, concern in his eyes. "two things? miri, you can tell me."

he felt his phone buzz in his pocket. he immediately knew it was gyuvin checking in to see if he was okay.

"when i was walking to school that monday, minding my business, this drunk man." she stopped.

he nodded, urging her to continue, all while discreetly checking his phone and sending a quick reply to gyuvin that he was alright.

miri hesitated, then took a deep breath. "this drunk man... he started following me and so, i turned around and pepper sprayed him. he then grabbed my arm."

his eyes widened as he kept a watchful eye on his phone, ready to respond to any further messages from gyuvin while giving miri his full attention.

"he grabbed me and he knew i went to school with you so he asked me where are you. i said i don't know but you were probably with gyuvin and then i said that you two might be dating!"

"now bothering people who have the same uniform as me. but what happened after you mentioned gyuvin and me possibly dating? did he back off?" he continued to be vigilant about his phone.

miri shook her head and got up. "i have to go. i did the work for you." she got up and almost stumbled.

"i know gyuvin told you i'm a shitty person but i didn't mean to be one this time. i just wanted to get away from that man, your father. he got angry afterwards but i ran." she waved and then walked out the door.
