There we were back at my home, now no longer considered outlaws by the government. The news of our triumph had spread like wildfire, and people were beginning to see us as heroes rather than criminals. As we settled in, I couldn't help but look up YouTube and watch the countless videos praising our bravery and resilience. It was surreal to see the public's perception of us shift from fear to admiration, and it gave me hope for a brighter future where justice prevailed over corruption.

"Well, would you look at that? The people now see us as heroes," Max said as he was standing over my shoulder.

"But what about the fact we killed dozens of military soldiers?" I said.

"General has it covered; she'll hire some of her men to help fix and improve the US military and get them back on their feet," Max replied.

"Good, let's hope that your world and our world don't merge into one," I said.

"That... is something I never thought of and hope it doesn't happen," Max said, his voice filled with concern.

"Hey Marvin, remember those books you wrote?" Shane asked.

"Oh yeah, I never touched it for more than a week, why do you ask?" I replied.

"Well, with everything that's happened, people might be considering taking them out of your hands," she replied.

"Well, that would be a pleasant surprise," I chuckled. "I never expected my books to gain such popularity. Maybe it's time for me to dust them off and give them another chance to get them to fly off the market's shelves."

Shane nodded, her concern evident in her eyes. "It's definitely worth a shot," she said encouragingly. "Your talent shouldn't go to waste, especially now when people need something uplifting to read."

"True," I said.

"Hey everyone, look!" Adalia said, pointing to the TV that was broadcasting the news.

Curiosity piqued, and we all turned our attention to the television screen.

"Breaking news, a group called 'the corporalis' has just announced a partnership with the US Army and will provide technology to repair the damage they did to stop the 'prialle wolves' who tricked the army for their own gain."

It then showed the US general standing behind a podium with a stern expression on his face.

"My fellow Americans, I'm sorry for letting the prialle wolves deceive us and cause harm. However, with this new partnership with 'the corporalis', we are determined to rectify the situation and ensure the safety of our nation. Together, we will work tirelessly to repair the damage and prevent any further manipulation by these malicious forces." The general's words resonated with a mix of relief and determination among the viewers as hope for a brighter future began to emerge.

"Hey, where's our general?" Abigail asked.

Just then we heard a knock on the door, and Jenna opened the door to find the corporalis general standing there.

"It's good to see you all safe and sound," the general said with a reassuring smile.

"But why aren't you there?" Jenna asked as she pointed to the TV.

The general's smile faded slightly as he glanced towards the television screen. "There are matters that require my immediate attention here," she replied, her voice filled with a sense of duty. "Rest assured, I am fully committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone."

The general then entered the room, her presence commanding attention. She sat down, and we noticed a big bracelet in her hand.

As she opened it, she pulled out a power skeleton.

"Marvin, your new power skeleton," she said, gesturing towards the device. "With your old one no longer functioning properly, this will be replacing your old one, which's being scrapped for parts," she said.

I calmly accepted the new power skeleton, grateful for the general's attention to my needs. "Thank you, General," I replied.

"Well, I'm sorry to break the moment, but Max, Shane, Shaun, and Abigail have to return to the base for debriefing," the general said.

"What about us?" Nathan asked.

"Well, you can simply join the army, use your specialties to help the corporals, or you can choose to return to civilian life," the general explained. "It's entirely up to you." Nathan and I exchanged glances, silently contemplating our options. We had come this far together, and the thought of leaving the army seemed almost unthinkable now.

"I think we'll stay as people, but returning will always be to be enlisted back in," I said.

The general nodded understandingly. "I appreciate your dedication," he said. "Remember, the army will always welcome you back if you choose to return."

Me, Nathan, Jenna, and Adalia watched as the general, Max, Shaun, Shane, and Abigail walked on a ship that would take them away from us. We exchanged solemn looks, knowing that our paths were diverging. As the ship flew away into the sky before it dashed away from our view, I couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness. It was a bittersweet moment, knowing that they were back home and embarking on a new journey while we remained in our world, continuing with our own lives. We knew that our bond would always remain strong, despite the distance between us. As we waved goodbye, we silently promised to stay connected and cherish the memories we had created together.

"So what happens now?" Adalia asked, her voice filled with a mix of curiosity and uncertainty.

"Well, now we continue on our own paths," I replied, trying to sound optimistic. "We'll keep in touch through calls, messages, and visits whenever possible. And who knows? Maybe one day our paths will cross again. We are now celebrities in our own lives, with our own stories to tell.

"Hey Marvin, is it okay if you move in with me? Since you can't make your dues end," Adalia asked, her eyes filled with hope. "I don't want us to lose touch completely." I paused for a moment, considering her offer.

"Alright, but I have a lot of stuff that might be difficult to move," I replied, thinking about the logistics of the situation. "But if it means we can continue our friendship, I'm willing to make it work."

"I think we can help with that," Jenna said with a smile. "Nathan has a van, and I have some experience with moving. We can definitely assist you in getting your stuff to the new place."

"I'll make some calls," Nathan said.

And like that, our story of an outer world had ended and a new life had begun. We were grateful for the support of our friends as we embarked on this new chapter of our lives.
