The Entertainment District:
Drag Queens or Drag Slayers?

Later on, the group has reached their destination. Riding on a fancy cart, the three younger hunters turned their heads from left to right, curious of their surroundings.

"Now, before anything happens. Don't you dare get off without my permission. This place isn't somewhere you youngsters should be roaming without an adult's supervision." Tengen instructed, pertaining to the young males.

However it seems like everything just went in one ear and out the other as they all jumped off the cart to wander off.

"You little delinquents..!" M/n followed them after giving a pat on Tengen's shoulder.

"Hey!" Tengen ran after the rest as they split apart.

...

Zenitsu was looking around in awe, a visible embarrassed expression on his face as he couldn't control the noise that went in his ears.

"Hey, there!"

"Yoo-hoo!"

"We have candy here. Do you want some, young man?"

Three beautiful ladies waved at him, eating sweets.

Zenitsu wanted to go but Tengen grabbed ahold of his collar and pulled him.

"I told you not to wander off!" He scolded him.

Inosuke, who was close to them, was walking with jello legs, anxious due to the large crowd and the bright environment.

"Hey, you!" Tengen called out to him, but then Inosuke howled and suddenly headbutted a random man in the stomach as he was startled.

A few moments later, M/n came along with Tanjirou who seemed to be deep in thought.

...

Shortly after, they arrived at a Wisteria Inn that existed in the district. They were led inside by the waitresses and were placed in a room.

"Alright, let's begin." Tengen spoke, initiating the meeting before they began their mission.

...

"What is this abomination?" M/n stared wide-eyed at the three younger slayers before him, face filled with thick make up. He just woke up and the first thing he saw was a trio of guys looking awfully ready for drag and lose by default. "Did a kid come in here and draw on your faces?" He stayed shocked for a moment and turned to the sound of someone clearing their throat.

"Is it that bad?" Tanjirou nervously chuckled, unsure of what to think about his own appearance. The other two... Inosuke doesn't care, he isn't an expert judge at physical appearances in the first place, and Zenitsu doesn't wanna look in the mirror.

"Who are you to judge?" Tengen raised a brow, arms crossed over his chest. "You woke up just in time though, it's your turn now." He said as he raised the brush dipped in white ink.

M/n jumped backwards and crossed his arms over his chest. "I refuse! If I had to wear such things, I'd at least want to look charming." He shook his head, avoiding any contact Tengen made with the brush.

The hashira gritted his teeth and crushed the brush in his hand, shoving the ink on the ground by annoyance. "Then you do it! Don't waste time." He shouted, then sat down, allowing M/n to do whatever.

M/n sighed and looked at the cosmetics on the ground. "Kamado, Agatsuma, Hashibira, wipe your faces. Let me redo your make up." He demanded, suddenly putting on a serious and confident face as he picked up the lipstick brush.

The three turned to each other before doing so. They didn't know what to expect, but they hope they would seem better than before.

"Keep your eyes on me." M/n looked at Tengen, wanting his acknowledgement as he began to paint on the faces of his comrades.

Tengen, on the other hand, smiled to himself. "The kid's finally moving, huh..." He thought, proud to see that M/n was finally putting effort into his work. In the past where the boy barely cared for anything, he was now worried about simple things like appearances. Perhaps he found his resolve.

...

"Oh my, such beautiful girls!" A woman exclaimed as she approached a group with other ladies.

"Aren't they?" Tengen chuckled, pleased with the instant a house owner already approached them. "They come in low prices as well."

"You really did a great job!" Tanjirou praised M/n, noticing the proud smile on Tengen. Awhile ago when he saw himself in the mirror, he couldn't help but question if that were really him. He looked and felt really beautiful, it was like magic. He also appreciated M/n's work for putting effort into the flower adornment on his forehead.

M/n looked down, a small smile on his face. "It's a pleasure to be of use." He simply dismissed Tanjirou's remark with his humble statement. He was happy to be acknowledged. For the first time, he felt the emotional reward of being helpful to his comrades.

Soon, the four slayers were all bought by different houses in the district. Tengen was truly satisfied that the boys were taken in less than a moment. It reminded him that there was no time to waste. Let the mission begin.

...

Zenitsu was admiring his reflection, hands cupped on his cheeks. "I still can't believe it..." He muttered, a cold sweat on his cheek. "M/n's got skills, sure... But I never thought I was this cute! What the hell!?!?!?" He looked so gorgeous that he was falling for himself, the same thing he does every time he sees a pretty girl.

"Zenko! Over here!" The woman who bought him called for him, already having a job for him.

...

"They told me not to open my mouth but how am I supposed to not talk when everyone's being so nosy!" Inosuke screamed in his head, intensely looking at the other women who were fawning over his beauty. He didn't understand what they saw, but he was too annoyed to even wonder. He was hoping he'll find the demon already and get this over with.

...

Tanjirou, on the other hand, was playing with the kids in the house he was invited in. They were eating candy while having small talk.

"Sumiko-san, you just came by today and you're already working so hard."

"Yeah, you're so full of energy!"

"Is that so? It's not much really. I just like helping people." Tanjirou smiled at them. Their cute appearances reminded them so much of his younger siblings. Oh, how he missed them.

...

Lastly, M/n...

"The demon's not here... I don't sense any." He thought, walking down the halls early in the morning. He even kept the temperature lower than usual in hopes a demon would sense the danger and reveal itself. But in the end, he knew well that no such plan would work since there are humans inside to worry about.

"I hate working in crowded places so so much..." M/n muttered, frustrated as he went back to his room, rubbing his temple.

A/n:
I'm sorry for being inactive for like... I dunno. 6-10 months? Yeah. I'm not pregnant (I'm a 🧍🏻, single and lonely). I was just really broke that I was depressed. Yeah. So, hey! 👋
