Chapter 40: The Start of a New Beginning

(Third Person POV)

A week has passed since the Wachowski's got home from Brooklyn, New York. Now the blue blur has simply got himself ready for his first day of high school. But he was too sleepy to get up! He passed out after publishing a new chapter in one of his fanfictions he wrote on Fanfiction.Net last night. He's already written two good ones.

The first one was a fanfic based off Detective Pikachu with a Gardevoir oc he named Naoko. She was Sarah Goodman's Pokémon. Naoko was originally a genetically engineered experiment named "R-2102" who was raised in the Team Rocket labs. She suffered a large chest scar thanks to a Greninja Star after she escaped her tank. Back when Naoko was still a Ralts, she befriended Mewtwo because she was impressed by his fighting skills, and she wanted him to train her. Over the years they developed a bond which convinced her to evolve while Ralts didn't and died. She eventually helped Mewtwo escape Team Rocket in the Kanto Region twenty years back, but never saw Mewtwo again and she kept his promise to never trust any human. But after she escaped Team Rockets plans to give them over to the Clifford's, she ended up stowaway-ing herself into a truck full of apples for a nearby elementary school.

But Naoko was attacked by an Ekans, but she was saved by a Riolu named Luke. Luke belonged to a person named Jen who was Sarah's best friend. After her wound was treated, she met Sarah Goodman and her big brother Tim. She was scared because of what the scientists did to her, but after some time, she bonded to Sarah, and evolved into a Kirlia. She met another Kirlia named Gabe and the two fell deeply in love. Gabe belonged to Sarah's boyfriend, Steven. During a field trip while Sarah and Tim Goodman were in Middle School, a small quake happened and Naoko along with Luke got separated from Gabe. They fell into a ruins where a bunch of Pokemon who were saved by Mewtwo resided. He questioned why she boned with a human, causing the two to start a fight. She tried to reason with him that not all humans were bad, but he didn't listen. His past with humans was not good since they just wanted to experiment on him for greed. But after some fighting Naoko ended her fight with Mewtwo and she and Luke left the ruins, later reuniting with their partners. Years later, Naoko evolved into a beautiful Gardevoir despite her having a scar on her chest. Gabe evolved into a Gallade and Luke evolved into a Lucario.

But then she went on with Sarah and Harry Goodman's case on the R gas, the battles, Dr Laurent, Howard Clifford becoming Mewtwo to make his twisted Pokemon Utopia a reality, encountering Mewtwo again, finding out that Sarah and Naoko's souls were fused then separated, arresting Howard, and finding out that Naoko was one of the many experiments involved with Howard.

Sonic loved his Detective Pikachu fanfic, but he loved his Spider-Girl fanfic more. In fact, that was the one he passed out from publishing a chapter last night. It was a story about Spider-Man's daughter who after he died from the claws of Carnage, she was horrified to learn that her idol was also her dad and that he died in front of her, causing her to repress her powers. But when her dad's problems target her, she asks for Venom to train her to be like her dad.

Yet, today wasn't about fanfiction, today was about school, and it was time he grew a brain. The sun was gradually rising in the sky, as it was eight in the morning and Sonic was sleeping peacefully in his comfortable bed. Knuckles and Tails were sleeping too. The echidna was a bit groggy from using the VR headset yesterday and Tails was tired from making a TikTok last night. Maddie was knocking on the door to their attic room, opening it, and waking them up.

"Boys, come on. You're gonna be late for your first day of school!" Maddie said.

"Okay, mom. We're coming." Sonic said.
