Chapter 32

Jordan's POV

 To say I was shocked is an understatement. Everything went still and quiet including the board members. I broke the silence by stuttering some non-coherent words 

 "I-I t-think I should leave" I stuttered, I was so anxious and I wanted to get away from the room as soon as possible 

"What the hell is he thinking" I muttered to myself, walking back to my cubicle and resuming what I was doing until a loud noise coming from the hall way

 "You bitch" roared the voice that I knew all too well. I looked up to see a beyond furious Diane walking towards me so on instinct I covered my belly with my hand, I don't know what she might do and the only important thing in my life is this little one inside me. She came closer and threw the vase of flowers on the floor drawing more attention towards us 

 "Is this what you always do Bitch, Sleep with your bosses and claim that you pregnant with their child!" She shouted, now everyone was looking at us, I tried lowering her voice but that seems to make her louder and before I knew it tears were beaming in my eyes and cascading down my face. I looked down listening to her insults and comments; it was useless to defend myself because she would never listen to me

 "That's enough Diane" Said a voice that brought Diane to silence. Mrs Potter came closer and faced both of us

 "I will not tolerate this noise in this company, if you have brawl between each other take it outside not in this well respected company, now Diane I'm going to ask you to leave the building because you are disrupting the building" Mrs. potter said looking at Diane, Diane stomped off banging the door on her way out, the spectators eyes were still on me making the situation worse 

 "I'm sorry about that Ms Carter, im sure that will never happen again, do you need a break for today?"Mrs. Potter asked looking concerned, I looked at her with tears in my eyes and just smiled at her shaking my head to resuming what I was doing

 "Why is everyone not working, is this some kind of showroom? Get back to work!" Mrs. Potter said to the rest of the people that were looking then facing back to me and placing some paper in front of me with a pen, I looked at her confused first but when I read the letters that were written in bold I knew what it was about 

"I'm sorry Jordan but the board still voted against you " She said looking at me sincerely and pushing the dismissal letters toward me .I looked down , tears threatening to come out but I took three deep breathes and looked at her

 "It's okay Mrs. Potter, I understand and I'm sorry for putting you in so much" I said to Mrs. potter signing the papers ,she just smiled and rubbed my shoulders 

 "And congratulations honey, please raise the future CEO and not be so short tempered and stubborn like his father" She said smiling off and collecting the papers. I laughed as she laughed too 

"And don't forget to invite me for the baby shower" She said as she walked off.

I resumed with my work with no sight of Kyle anywhere in the building until it was time for my lunch break, all attention was on me with a few whispering when they walked passed me and honestly that frustrated me, I took my bag, packed all my belongings and walked out of the building, I took a taxi to the nearby mall at this place to clear my head. When I got to the mall I walked straight to the food court because all this stress made my really hungry ,I ordered a cheese burger and some fruit juice, after I ate my meal I began roaming the mall until I saw a baby store

 "Hello there" a young lady said to me as I walked inside the stored , I greeted back and went inside the store looking at both girls and boys clothes imagining my little one in some of the clothes. I stayed in the mall for hours looking from store to store, trying on some clothes and buying some cute maternity clothes id wear when I go for my check-ups

I walked into the door with shopping bags and a box that contained all my belongings from work 

"Where have you been, I was worried about you and Kyle has been calling here like crazy" Keera said as I walked inside the house, I just rolled my eyes

 "I'm home and I'm Okay, you know im old now right?"I said to her and slouched on the couch 

"Mike came home alone and I thought you will come with Kyle but when he called asking where you were because you not answering our phone I got worried too" She said preparing me a meal, it has become her routine now that when I come she prepares a meal for and I couldn't be any happier

 "I'm fine I just needed to cool off, and a little bonding with my baby" I said rubbing my belly, Keera just smiled and looked at my belly sitting next to me

 "What happened today?"She asked handing me my meal 

 "Hmm let me tell you the whole story in detail "I said taking a bit of my food from the morning until the part where Kyle decided to tell everyone that it's his child I'm carrying

 "HE DID WHAT?!"Keera screamed astonished I just laughed and continued with the story getting different facial expressions from Keera and laughing here and there 

 "So I'll be here with you dear sis for months "I said sighing 

 "Uhmm Actually no, Mike's parents want to meet me so ill be going to stay with them for a while I'm leaving in three days time but I'll be back before the baby is born "She said looking sincerely into my eyes, you could see she was feeling sad for leaving me and I was sad too but I understood, she deserves this out of all the thing she went through they need a change of scenery, 

"It's alright i'll be super fine" I said ruffling her hair and heading to the kitchen, after placing my empty plate into the sink, I headed to my room to take a shower

Minutes later, I was dressed into my pajamas and drying my hair when I heard a knock on my door

 "There's someone at the door for you "Keera said peeking through the door, I looked at her confused at walked out the door mumbling to myself about who could want me during this hour of the night .I walked down the stairs and saw a tall figure in the living room facing the window, I couldn't figure out who that person was because they were broader then Kyle 

"Hi" The person said turning around to face me 

 "Mark "I said in a whisper, speechless to utter other word.
