Chapter 15

Jordan’s POV

 I began pacing in the bathroom with the sticks in my hands and I was trembling. I can’t be pregnant now, it’s impossible. How am I going to start a new life with a baby? I mean I’m practically homeless, it’s not long enough until Luke wants his privacy just got a job that is strenuous and exhausting and my relationship with Mark is going smoothly, he is coming next week for the weekend and if he finds out that I’m pregnant he will leave me. Thinking about all this made me nauseous that I threw up everything I ate.'uhhgg that was gross' I was disguised and took a toothbrush to brush my teeth 

''Are you alright in there?'' Lucy asked knocking on the door. I came out the two sticks in my hands and looked at her with tears at the corner of my eyes. After showing her I just leaned on the bathroom and began sobbing

Don’t cry, it’s going to be okay

‘‘Are you alright in there?'' Lucy asked, sounding worried so I opened the door and showed her the sticks.she gasped and looked at me and could see that I was on the edge of crying

''Don’t cry Hun, Everything is going to be okay'' she said but I cut her off

How is everything going to be okay? How? Look I live here and surely you guys want your privacy, I can’t work on the restaurant because I might harm the child and Mark is definitely going to leave me I said sobbing

''What about the father of the child?'' She asked and I gasped. I forgot about Kyle. 

''Are you going to tell him?'' She asked and suddenly my phone rang

'' Hello'' I said trying to sound normal

'' Jordan do you hate me that much that even if I die in this hospital you won’t come?'' Keera said on the phone, wait what? A hospital?

'' Keera you in the hospital? What happened?'' I asked panicked  

'' I’m sick Jo, and there is no one here for me'' She said sounding really sad that my tears just spilled down. I should have gone to her when I was there. Of all the terrible things that are happening to be this is the worse. I can’t lose my sister; she's the only person I have

'' I’ll catch a bus tomorrow. I am coming over'' I said rubbing my tummy, a routine I have grew to like

'' What about your job, won’t you lose it'' She asked concerned. I forgot to tell her about James and the Law firm

'' Nah, don’t worry about that. I am coming tomorrow'' I said and we did our goodbyes and I hung up then the whole current situation I’m in came flooding back. I looked at Lucy

'' Please don’t tell Luke about the pregnancy please'' I asked and she nodded

'' You are leaving tomorrow?'' She asked looking at me

'' Yes. My sister is in the hospital so I have to go see her and stay with her for a while'' I said looking at the phone in my hand

''Okay'' Lucy said smiling and coming towards me to give me a hug. I hugged her back and after that we went to the lounge and began talking about a lot of things , she told me about her past and I share with her the bits and pieces of mine, saying nothing  about the terrible events that happened to me. At 6pm I finished packing my luggage, I took more clothes, I took more clothes because didn’t know when I will be coming back and it was about 5 big luggage I took almost all my wardrobe and ate one more time then I went to bed, I didn’t see Luke that night because I was too tired but in the middle of the night I woke up feeling thirsty so I went downstairs to get a bottle of water. When I walked past the lounge I saw it was lit so I went inside and found Luke watching TV alone

'' Hey'' I said sitting down beside him

 '' Hey I came back and found you were sleeping, Lucy says you were tired'' he said wrapping his hands around mine

‘‘Yea I was exhausted, plus I wanted to tell you that tomorrow I will be leaving for my hometown'' I said

''Okay, but why, don’t you like it here? Did Lucy say something mean to you? He asked worried and concerned 

'' Hey, you were asleep when I came back'' He said flipping the channels 

''Yea I was tired, hey I wanted to tell you that tomorrow I’m leaving'' I said looking at him

'' To where, why?'' He said focusing towards me 

'' My sister is in the hospital, so I’ll be staying there until she gets better'' I said, shifting my gaze from him to look at him. I’m afraid to look at him because he might see that I’m hiding something

‘‘Oh so what time will you be leaving?'' he asked focusing on the TV

'' In the morning, I want to get there in time'' I said resting my head on his shoulders

''I’m going to miss you'' I said, and he just brushed my hair after talking to him I went straight to bed; I needed the rest for tomorrow.

The next morning I woke up and suddenly felt nauseous. I ran to the bathroom, running past Luke and I threw up content of the remainder of the meal in the toilet bowl. After I was done, I was exhausted and sweating like crazy 

'' Jordan what’s wrong, are you sick?'' Luke asked coming towards me. I just stared at him speechless, must I confess now?

''She has a stomach bug, I think I have it too'' Lucy said coming to my rescue

''So will you be okay to travel? Or you could postpone?'' he said looking worried

'' That won’t be necessary, I have some pills I’ll give her, she will be fine now'' she said holding his hand, I was relieved that Lucy was there. I took a shower, got dressed and went to get my breakfast

''Are you ready?'' Luke asked all dressed and ready to go

‘‘Yup I said standing up and going towards Lucy to give her a hug

''So I’ll see you?'' I said to her smiling

'' If I’m not sick and tired of your boyfriend over here'' she said pointing to Luke, I laughed and hugged tight. Thanking her for everything. Luke packed all my belongings in the car and we drove off.

When I got to the bus station I booked my ticket and was going to leave in 45 minute so I went back to the car to have a chat with Luke

“Its leaving in 45 minutes “I said and he just nodded

“So did your sister tell you what’s wrong?”He said looking at me I shook my head and resumed to be quiet it was not only when he broke the silence

“Are you going to be okay because earlier you didn’t feel well at all” he said worry visible in his face 

“I am just fine, Luke it was just the mor…..stomach infection” I said mumble, curses my babbling mouth. We talked about general stuff and it was about 2minute that I told him to start unloading my luggage

“Do you need this much though Jo” he said carried my luggage 

“I don’t know how long I’ll be there” I said laughing seeing his face when he’s carrying the luggage. I went to the bus and packed the bags into the bus. 

“So call me when you get there” he said smiling sadly, I could see his ghost smile and began weeping. He hugged me tightly 

“Its okay babe, we will talk everyday even video call you” she said still smiling and withdraw from his arms standing inches away from him. The he did something unexpected he kissed my lips but it was a quick kiss

“Be safe” he said and I got into the bus
