—First Person POV.—

The world had fallen still as the night progressed and amidst the shroud of darkness, the heavens had unveiled their celestial splendor.

Countless stars, like radiant diamonds scattered across a canvas had overtaken the horizons—casting a soft light alongside the full moon.

A cool breeze had settled in, leaving goosebumps along my skin as it carried the gentle sounds of the crimson beasts large wings flapping every now and then.

We had been traveling for a while now and after the adrenaline-filled events of the day—I was drained, having turned around to rest a good hour ago.

Katsuki raised his hand when I shifted to face him and climbed beneath his cape—originally just hoping to gage his warmth from the wind but in a fluid motion he reached down, pulling my legs up to straddle his hips and make me more comfortably lean against him.

He didn't say a word— Just simply did as he wanted and when his hand fell back down to rest on my lower back to keep me in place, the blood-red cape enveloped me, now held by his free hand.

It took a second for my brain to catch up and when it finally did, I locked my legs around his waist—nestling into the Barbarians embrace and closing my eyes.

I'm not sure how long we had stayed like that and I don't know how much time passed when a low chuff meets my ears.

I grumble lightly, craning my head into the crook of the Barbarians neck and causing the soft fur draped across his shoulders to tickle the back of my nape.

"Yeah, touch down here and we'll walk the rest." Katsuki's voice brushes over the wind, earning a grumble in response before his grip slides up from my lower back—holding on.

The feeling of falling causes my stomach to drop and my legs tighten around the Barbarian—body curled in when air rushed over our figures.

As the wind whistled past us as the Dragon began his descent, wings beating rhythmically to slow our rapid fall. I can feel Katsuki's grip tense along my back, alerting me that the ground was growing close and I braced myself for the impact.

There's this shift in the plates we sat along as Eijiro's muscles tense beneath—preparing to touch down.

And a powerful thud reverberated through my body as the Dragon's talons made contact with the earth, sending a slight shiver through the ground.

Katsuki's firm grip provided a steadying anchor, keeping me up against him as I loosened my hold on the Barbarian, my senses slowly attempting to adjust to the feeling of no longer being in motion.

Katsuki's grip loosened, and I glanced up to see the subtle relaxation in his posture, his eyes scanning the darkened landscape around us—assessing our surroundings before his scarlet gaze flickers down to me.

My brows furrow tiredly as I attempted to focus but the world grew blurry every few seconds. No words escape my lips, instead I'm turning to shift back into his neck—getting comfortable once more and closing my eyes.

My mind felt muddled, like a tangle of wires struggling to connect and Katsuki seems to catch this, causing his chest to lift with a snicker.

"She's dragon-lagged." He informs Eijiro—who huffs out some air in response before Katsuki is moving, hooking his arms under my legs to hold me as the Dragon lowers his head to rest on the floor.

"He just laughed at me, didn't he." I state and the Barbarian ignores me to slide down the crimson plates before jumping from the Dragons back.

My hands quickly raise from his chest to lock around his neck with the action and I send a deadpan up to the ash-blonde.
