Feeling a crushing weight on his chest, Taehyung turned away from the scene, his heart shattering into pieces. He stumbled back, his steps unsteady, as he tried to escape the reality before him. Blinking back tears, he hurriedly made his way to his office, his breaths uneven, and his hands trembling.

Once inside, he closed the door, trying to muffle the sound of his breaking heart. Leaning against the door, he buried his face in his hands, trying to make sense of the overwhelming mix of emotions inside him. Hurt, jealousy, and betrayal tore at his soul, making it difficult to breathe.

The office felt suffocating. Taehyung wiped away a stray tear, his vision blurred as he struggled to regain composure.

He tried to collect the shattered fragments of his heart. With each tear that fell, he chastised himself for allowing his heart to cling to a love that seemed to slip away between his fingers.

He wiped away his tears, his expression hardening with determination. He couldn't let this pain consume him entirely. As much as it hurt, he needed to find the strength within himself to move forward, even if it meant accepting a reality without Jungkook.

Taking a deep breath, Taehyung resolved to focus on his work. He knew it wouldn't be easy, and the ache in his chest would persist, but he had to find a way to carry on.

With a heavy heart, Taehyung wiped away the last of his tears, steeling himself against the pain that still lingered. He stood up, his movements deliberate, and walked towards his desk.

As he walked away from his office, Taehyung forced a polite smile at Joong Ki who was at the corridor discussing some work related issues with a colleague, Taehyung made a quick excuse about being in a hurry, and hurried past him. His heart constricted painfully as he saw Jungkook and Jimin leaving the building together, their laughter ringing in his ears. It felt like a cruel twist of fate, a reminder of what he had lost.

He quickened his pace, not wanting to witness any more of their shared moments. Taehyung couldn't shake off  the image of Jungkook and Jimin's kiss haunting his thoughts. He needed space, a moment away from the suffocating atmosphere that seemed to press down on him.

With a heavy heart, he disappeared into the bustling city, his steps echoing the internal struggle of letting go and finding a way to rebuild what was left of his shattered heart.

Sung Ryung, dressed in an elegant and stylish outfit that exuded power and confidence, moved gracefully through the lavish dining room. Her heels clicked on the polished floor, echoing her authority in the grand house . Her transformation was evident as she now carried herself with an air of sophistication and ambition.

She observed the servers, who were setting up the dining table for dinner, ensuring that everything was perfect down to the smallest detail. Her eyes then fell on Taehyung, who had been unusually quiet and had a haunted look in his red eyes. She couldn't help but roll her eyes in irritation, frustrated by his persistent melancholy.

Taking a seat at the head of the table, she beckoned for Taehyung to join her. As he sat down, she didn't mince words and got straight to the point.

"Taehyung, you have to stop moping around like this," she scolded, her tone laced with impatience.

"You're the rightful owner of JEC now, and you need to act like it. Sitting here, wallowing in self-pity, won't get you anywhere."

Taehyung sighed but didn't respond, his gaze distant as he stared at the elegant table setting. His mind was still clouded with thoughts of Jungkook, and the pain of their separation was a constant presence in his heart.

Sung Ryung continued, her voice firm and unwavering.

"I understand that things have been difficult, but you can't let your Jungkook overshadow your responsibilities. JEC is a massive company, and you have a legacy to uphold. You can't afford to be distracted by him"

She hoped her words would jolt Taehyung into action, to make him realize that he needed to step up and embrace his role as the legal owner of the company. But she also knew that there was more at play, that Taehyung's heartache was a wound that would take time to heal, no matter how much he wanted to bury it under the weight of his new responsibilities.

As the evening sun dipped below the horizon, Jungkook found himself sitting across from Jimin in a dimly lit bar. The atmosphere was lively, the low hum of conversations and laughter filling the air. Jungkook had invited Jimin out for a drink after work.

Jimin, however,  wanted to address the tension that had arisen between them due to the impulsive kiss shared in the office. As they sipped their drinks, Jimin gathered his courage and decided to broach the subject.

"Jungkook, about what happened in the office..." Jimin began tentatively, searching for the right words.

But before Jimin could finish his sentence, Jungkook lifted his glass, downing the contents in a single shot. His actions were swift, a desperate attempt to drown his sorrows and forget the painful image of Taehyung's sad face that haunted him. The bitterness of the alcohol burned down his throat, momentarily numbing his senses.

Jimin watched Jungkook with concern, realizing that his friend was using alcohol as a coping mechanism. He placed a hand on Jungkook's, his touch gentle yet firm.

"Jungkook, you can't keep running away from your feelings like this. Taehyung deserves an explanation, and so do I."

Jungkook lowered his glass, his eyes clouded with a mixture of guilt and confusion. He knew Jimin was right, but facing the truth meant confronting the pain he had caused. The weight of his actions pressed down on him, and he felt trapped in a web of emotions he couldn't escape.

Taking a shaky breath, Jungkook met Jimin's gaze.

"I..am sorry, I just wanted to hurt him." he continued

"I don't even know what I am doing, Jimin. Everything is so messed up, and I don't know how to fix it."

Jimin offered a reassuring smile, knowing that the heart he is longing for belongs only to Teahyung and that the Kiss was an impulsive reaction from Jungkook to get his revenge, he gripped on Jungkook's hand firmly.

"you'll figure it out, Jungkook."

Jungkook nodded, the weight of his mistakes heavy on his shoulders. He knew he couldn't keep avoiding the truth, no matter how painful it might be.
