"Fire,"

Right after the words leave my mouth, the eyeballs glow red and blue, releasing blasts of Cursed Energy.

In only a blink of an eye, the burning rays easily pierce through my skin and bones, filling my body with bloody holes. Waterfalls of red pour from all over.

"..." I wince from the sudden pain, clenching my eyes and fists.

"You-!" The strained voice from behind slowly disappears into silence, and once I feel nothing against my neck anymore, I'm sure the Cursed Spirit is dead.

Then, the darkness releases from the atmosphere as the Domain Expansion slowly dissolves away into nothing. I collapse onto my knees, hitting the hard floor, with blood pooling around me from the numerous holes blasted into me. I feel my breathing getting shallow and ragged. As my vision starts to blur, I see the remnants of the Cursed Spirit flake away.

As I stay unmoving on the ground, blood still leaking out of my broken veins, I hear faint footsteps hurriedly heading over to me. I slightly tilt my head and see Inumaki standing over me, his face pale.

"Tuna, takana...?" He asks in a quiet, worried voice. I can tell that his throat is still hurting, every word becoming a scratch at his vocal cords.

I don't have the energy to answer him. The wounds in my body are still there.

F*ck just regenerate already

I think, frustrated as my head drops again from another wave of blasting pain. I tighten my fists, my fingernails digging into the thin skin. I close my eyes, tiredness sweeping over my weakened body. My grasp on my consciousness slowly releases, and my mind falls into a world of quiet blackness.

Mini time skip

My eyes slowly blink open at the feeling of someone shaking my shoulders.

"Haneki!" My voice is called urgently, there is even a hint of fear in it, "Haneki?!" I recognize the voice as Inumaki's.

Where are we...?

For a short moment, I feel the control over my powers weakening, and there is a sudden wave of overwhelming information flooding my brain. Flashes of Cursed Energy crash around the atmosphere like an uncontrolled tsunami, and my eyes sting just from looking at them. I clench my eyes shut, only to realize that I'm somehow able to see the Energy through my eyelids.

[Are you okay?]_Inumaki

[Please don't die]_Inumaki

[I think Sensei will be here soon]_Inuamki

[Don't move so much...]_Inumaki

[Are you okay?]_Inumaki

[How can I help her...?]_Inumaki

[If only I was there]_Inumaki

I hear an endless train of loud voices in my head, the sound whirling around my head unrhythmically.

"F*ck... not too loud..." I mutter, leaning forward to rest my spinning head on him. Every ragged breath feels like agony, every heartbeat sending a spark of pain throughout my broken veins.

Inumaki's voice sounds distant again like an echo down a deep tunnel. I barely manage to pick up his sound. "T- Takana?" He asks again, his tone masking worry and panic. I let out a weak laugh, wincing as I felt my ribcages stabbing at my burning lungs.

I'm so d*mn tired of all this. Why can't I just die? How is my string between life and death this thick?

Through the haze of pain, I sense someone else approaching us. Feeling the strong radiation of Cursed Energy, I tense up.

Is it another Cursed Spirit...?
