As the soft rays of sunlight streamed through the luxurious bedroom windows, Fatima gradually stirred from her sleep. She felt the warmth of Zac's presence beside her and a mixture of comfort and trepidation washed over her.

Gently, she turned to face Zac, who was just starting to wake. Their eyes met, and she could sense his curiosity. Taking a deep breath, she began to share her reasons for sneaking out.

"Zac," she started softly, "The reason I left before you woke up is not because of anything you did wrong, and it isn't because I wanted to escape from you or what we shared. It's about me and my own fears and past experiences." She paused, giving herself a moment to gather her thoughts.

"I've been hurt before," she continued, her voice tinged with vulnerability. "There was someone in my past named Ian, and the pain from that relationship still lingers. It took me a long time to heal, and I've become cautious about who I let into my heart."

She looked into Zac's eyes, searching for understanding. "What we have, this profound connection that seemed to happen so quickly, it scared me. It scared me because I wasn't sure if I was ready to trust again, to open myself up completely. I needed some time to process my feelings, to make sure I was ready for the intensity of what we're experiencing."

Fatima reached out and gently touched Zac's hand, hoping he could feel the depth of her sincerity. "Please understand that I want to be with you, Zac. But I needed that space to ensure that I'm not entering into this relationship with old wounds still haunting me. That wouldn't have been fair to me or to you. I hope you can comprehend why I needed that time."

Zac stared at Fatima, his gaze unwavering yet filled with a softness that complemented his dominant nature. He understood the importance of allowing her the freedom to take her time and explore their connection at her own pace. At the same time, his possessive instinct urged him to protect what they had from outsiders. His eyes filled with a mix of vulnerability and determination. He knew he had to express his concerns.

Zac's gaze locked onto Fatima's as he made himself vulnerable, exposing his fears and desires. He took a deep breath before continuing, his tone filled with sincerity "I don't want to pressure you into a relationship, especially not so quickly if you're not ready." But I also can't help but feel a possessiveness towards you.

Zac's hand reached out, lightly brushing against Fatima's, seeking a connection that went beyond words. "I don't want you to see other men because in my heart, I feel that you and I have a connection that goes beyond any casual encounters. I know I have no right to ask that of you but I'm just being honest.

"And I don't know if me saying that you being mine has made you feel obligated in any kind of way." He faltered searching for the right words to express himself. That was just me being intentional I've never felt a feeling this strong before. I feel like we were put in each others paths for a reason, but I understand what you're saying. We don't have to put labels on what we have just yet. We can take it one step at a time, exploring our bond and allowing it to develop naturally. "I just really want to see where this leads us."

A wave of relief washed over Fatima as Zac's words sank in. She realized that his understanding and support were exactly what she needed at this moment. Fatima took a moment, her eyes reflecting a blend of gratitude, desire, and vulnerability. She reached out, entwining her fingers with his, her touch a promise of reciprocated trust and understanding.

Zac," she began, her voice a whisper filled with determination, "I feel the connection between us too. Let me assure you that I don't want to see other men I have no interest to. What we have feels different, deeper, it's unique and special to me." "I want to explore this bond with you too, on our terms and at our own pace."
