"No, this is not possible. You guys can't do this with me. I won't agree to this ever", shouted Akshara angrily.
"Akshi, beta samajhne ki koshish kr bacha", Naira, Akshara's mother tries to make her see things differently. But it is of no use. Akshara Goenka would not do anything against her wishes. She wouldn't do it if she didn't want to do something.
"No, no, no. I won't do this. I will not understand anything", she shouted. She picked up the teddy and threw it angrily on the door. It accidentally hit her father who was coming into her room.
"Owww, princess. Itna gussa", he mumbled. He rubbed his forehead where the teddy hit him.
"Papa", she shouted. She quickly ran into his embrace. "Do you know about this mess? Aapko pta bhi hai mumma mujhe kya krne ke liye keh rhi hai". Naira rolled her eyes at her drama queen.
"Akshi, mai tujhe bhaag kr shaadi krne ke liye nhi keh rhi hoon", Naira told her daughter.
"Toh aap use kuch kam bhi nhi kr rhi ho. Aap mujhe us bandar ke sath ek ghar mai rehne ke liye force kr rhi ho", Akshara replied sassily to her mother.
"It is for your own benefit", Naira told her again. They have been arguing over this issue for the past hour. Naira is fed up now.
"Ohh really. Is it really for my own good? Uss bandar ke sath rehne se acha hai, mai khi jungle hi mai reh loo", Akshara rolled her eyes.
"Acha, apni Nina ke liye bhi nhi manegi tu bacha", said Akshara Singhania from the entrance of her granddaughter's room. She was holding a walking stick and slowly came to her room. Her husband, Naitik is behind her.
"Nina, aap upar kyu ayi? Mujhe bula liya hota", said Akshara. She quickly held her Nina's hand and helped her to sit down on the nearby chair.
"Akshi, baith yha pr", the eldest Sighania asked her. Akshara quickly sat down on the floor near her grandmother's feet. Her grandmother started caressing her hair.
"Akshi, beta tu itni door course krne jaa rhi hai. Wha pr tera dhyaan kaun rakhega".
"Nina, I am 24 years old. I can take care of myself. I don't need a person to babysit me". Naira rolled her eyes at the excuse of her daughter.
"Ohhh really, Akshi? Tu sure hai ki tu apna dhyan rakh sakti hai?" sassed Naira.
"Of course I can", Akshara replied confidently to her mother.
"Ohh really!!! Acha chal answer me something. Jaa phir jakar sabke liye apni favorite cold coffee bna kr le aa" asked Naira. Akshara had no answer to this question. She is indeed the slouchiest person in the family. She is the only girl in the family. So, everyone pampered her to the core. They fulfil her every wish. All her demands were given priority resulting in this slouchiest attitude of the youngest Goenka.
"Kya hua ab answer kyu nhi kr rhi hai. Ms. Goenka for your kind information tujhe pani bhi ubalna nhi ata hai, baki sab toh bade door ki baat hai", said Naira.
"Mai seekh loongi sab", Akshara said very slowly.
"Achhha....", but before Naira could scold her daughter, the senior Akshara stops her.
"Naira not now. Stop troubling my girl", the senior one as usual takes her granddaughter's side.
"Mumma, aap humesha iski side lena band kro. Aap logo ne hi ise itna bigada hai", said Naira and whacked her daughter's head who was smiling looking at her mother's angry expression.
"Nina!!!" Akshara rubbed her head where her mother hit her.
"Naira!" Naitik scolds his daughter. He came forward and stopped his daughter from hitting his granddaughter again.
"Wow, papa. Ab aap bhi iski side le lo", said Naira and rolled her eyes.
"Enough", the senior Akshara stopped all the chaos. Instead of talking about the main issue, they are talking about the useless things only.
"Akshi, beta look here", Akshara lifts her granddaughter's head and caresses her face. "Beta, tu itni door South Africa jaa rhi hai woh bhi pure ek saal ke liye. Tu wha akele kaise manage kregi bacha".
"I will do it, Nina", said the little one.
"Akshi, be practical beta. Tujhe kuch bhi nhi ata hai beta. Your mother is right. Tu akele wha manage nhi kr payegi. Isiliye hum chahte hai ki tu wha Abhimanyu ke sath rhe. Woh bahut samjhdar bacha hai, woh tera dhyaan rakh lega", the senior one tried to explain to her granddaughter.
"Akshi, Nina is right. Beta tu aaj tak kabhi hum sab ke bina nhi rhi hai. Tu itni door South Africa mai kaise rahegi woh bhi poore ek saal ke liye. Agar Abhimanyu wha tere sath hoga toh hume tension nhi hogi teri beta", Naira sat down with her daughter and tried again to explain to her.
"Beta, tu aur Abhimanyu bachpan se ek doosre ko jante ho. Tum dono ko pta hai ki ek doosre ka dhyaan kaise rakhna hai".
"Pr, Nina you know na I hate Abhimanyu Birla. He is so annoying. He is such a schmuk. I don't like him at all. Aur aap log chahte ho ki hum dono ek hi ghar mai rhe. No, it's not possible", announced Akshara. She didn't understand why her family wanted her to live with that jerk for a year.
"Aur aap sab kaise log ho. Aap log Indian hi ho na. Aap apni beti ko ek ladke ke sath rehne ke liye force kr rhe ho", said Akshara. "Hum Indians itne modern kab se ho gye".
"Akshi, stop talking nonsense. Hum log Abhi ko bachpan se jante hai. He is like the son of this family. Tujhe bhi pta hai ki woh hum sabki kitni respect krta hai", Naira scolded her daughter.
"Yes, beta. Teri mumma bilkul theek keh rhi hai. Hum log chahte hai ki tu South Africa mai akele na rhe. Woh desh tere liye bilkul anjana hai. Wha pr hum sab mai se koi bhi nhi hoga tera dhyaan rakhne ke liye. Abhimanyu agar wha tere sath hoga toh hume yha teri itni tension nhi hogi. We know that ki woh tujhe sambhal lega. Please Akshi, haa keh de beta. Tu apni Nina ke liye itna bhi nhi kr sakti hai", the senior Akshara said emotionally. A tear slipped from her eyes.
"Haa, Akshi. Tu waise hi humse itni door jaa rhi hai. Agar wha tere sath koi hoga jo tera dhyan rakhega toh hume itni tension nhi hogi bacha. Hum log yha shanti se reh payenge. Please beta for us", said Naira emotionally. Her eyes are glistening with tears.
"Mumma, Nina please aap dono ro mat. Agar aap dono ko isme khushi milegi toh theek hai I am ready. I am ready to live together with that irritating schmuk for a year", announced the little one.
"Yayyy!! Thank you so much beta", said her mother and grandmother together. They hugged her tightly.
Kartik and Naitik rolled their eyes at the trio. "Papa, hum log galat business mai hai. Hume na ek drama company kholni chahiye thi. Humare pass kya badiya dramebaaz hai", Kartik whispered in his father-in-law's ears.
"You are right beta. Hum iss duniya ke sabse bade dramebazzo ke sath rehte hai", Naitik agreed with his son-in-law.
Here, Akshara is thinking, how will she live with that annoying Birla that too for a year? It will be the biggest year of her life. She is just praying to god that it will end soon.
