"Akshara Goenka, we are getting late. Come on yr", Abhimanyu shouted in frustration. He is shouting like this for the last 30 minutes but when did his girlfriend pay heed to his words.
"Hold your horses,Mister. Just 10 more minutes", Akshara shouted back.
"For the past 30 minutes she is saying these words only. Kitna time lagta hai yr tayar hone mai. Issey toh acha mai akela hi chala jata", Abhi babbled.
A new Avengers Movie is releasing today. Abhi has been waiting to watch this movie for the past 2 years and now when it has finally released he can't contain his excitement. He decided to make it a date. So, he called Akshara 2 hours back and made plans with her. But this is his mistake. She is taking so much time. He should have enjoyed it alone.
He sat down on the couch reading the fantastic reviews of the movie. His excitement is at its peak. "Wow! Aaj toh mza aa jayega". He refused to look any website which gives any spoilers to him. He wanted to experience the magic first hand.
"I am ready",announced Akshara.
"Awesome. Let's go. The movie is about to start in an hour. We will buy the biggest popcorn and a coke. I will buy M&M also. Snacking ke kaam ayega", he babbled. He retrieve his car keys and started going out.
Akshara looked at her boyfriend with an open mouth. "How rude! He didn't even acknowledge me. Kam se kam yhi bta deta ki mai kaisi lag rhi hoon. It took me 1.5 hours to get ready for this date and this doofus didn't look at me even once. Compliment toh bahut dur ki baat hai", she mumbled angrily.
"Abhi, hum kaun se mall ja rhe hai for movie", Abhi opened the gate for her when she asked him.
"Star mall", he replied casually.
"Oh great! I am just coming", she told him and rushed inside the house again. Abhi looked at her with an open mouth. What happened to her now? They are already getting late and here she is wasting time.
She came back after 5 minutes and put a packet at backseat. "What is it?"
"I have a return a dress I have purchased from that mall. So, I thought why not do that as well", she told him.
"Agar return hi karna hota hai toh cheezein lete kyun ho tum log yr", commented Abhi. He didn't understand this logic of girls. Why don't they decide things quickly. Firstly, they took ample amount of time to finalise the dress. After that when they come home and something is always missing in every dress, so, they want to return them. Why can't they stick to their decision? Girls are big mystery for him.
Akshara looked at her sweet boyfriend shockingly. What happened to him today? He didn't compliment her looks earlier. Now, he is taunting her about the shopping.
"Whatever", she replied sassily. She is getting really angry on her boyfriend. But she didn't want to fight with him so she kept quiet. From the moment they started their relationship they didn't fight even a single time. It's like their fighting mode is totally changed to their lovey dovey mode. And Akshara didn't rock the happy boat that's why she decided to keep quiet.
They have reached the mall and Abhi exicitedly went to the snacks counter for the movie. "Aksh, what type of popcorn you want? Butter, Caramel, Salted, Plain, Cheese", he rallied options to her.
"Umm, whatever you want. I will share with you", Akshara shrugged her shoulders.
"What? How can you share my popcorns? No, no, no babe. I can share anything with you but movie snacks is a big no. You know they are not meant to be share. If we share them then it will finish quickly. I want that snacks till the intermission period", Abhi is a finick about action movies. He had a certain routine during movies and didn't like if it got disturbed.
"Umm, caramel", Akshara replied. She has never seen this behavior of Abhimanyu. Yes, they never went to movies together before but she didn't expect this changed behavior of his.
"Cool", Abhi casually told her. He ordered the biggest buckets of popcorn, cold drinks, and along with many snacks.
"Abhi itne sare snacks kyun order kr rhe ho?" Akshara whisper shout in his ears. He had ordered almost the entire menu of the theatre.
"Aksh, yr action movie main snacking must hoti hai. And this is Avengers we are talking about. I have been waiting for this movie for almost 2 years. So, imagine how great it will be. I don't want to waste even a single minute in the movie", he gleefully told her.
"Abhi, tumhe kabse movies mai itna interest ho gya?" Akshara asked him when he handed her the tray of snacks.
"I am always interested in action movies Aksh. Especially Marvels. They are my favorite", he replied casually.
"Okay". Although they know each other since birth but still there are so many things about each other which they didn't know till now. After the starting of their relationship, she is witnessing so many new things in him. It's like he is a new person for her which she is exploring in the course of their relationship.
They reached the movie hall, 20 minutes before the movie. Abhi booked the platinum tickets where they get to watch the movie from recliner. Their seats are totally separated from the other persons. Nobody is in view of them. Neither they are in a view of anybody.
"Wow, these seats are pretty cosy", Akshara commented.
"I know. These are my favorite type of seats. Nobody will disturb us from here", he replied.
Akshara blushed listening this comment. She thought they will make out in the cinema hall just like the other couples do when they came to watch the movie. That's why Abhi bought the tickets of these seats. She gets super excited about the prospect of making out in a cinema hall. She had never did this before. It was always in her bucket list to make out in a hall. And it looks like that today Abhi is fulfilling her wish. They haven't gone to third base till now. All they do is kissing each other here and there. But it looks like they can go to the second base today.
But for Abhi, the reason of selecting these seats is totally different. He didn't want anyone to disturb him while watching movie. The best view of the screen is from these seats only. That's why he booked these seats. He is totally unaware of Akshara's intentions and had no clue about any bucket wish of hers.
Abhimanyu happily handed her the 3D glasses and the moment trailers started showing on the screen he got hooked. Akshara looked here and there. Check some reels on her phone. Chatted with Reem during the initial minutes of movie. Action is not her genre. She is never interested in this. It is too much for her.
After 20 minutes in the movie, she looked at Abhi who is totally engrossed in the movie. It looks like he didn't blink even for a second. But for Akshara it was a pretext only. She pinched him and whispered in his ears, "let's make out Abhi". She blushed thinking he will attack on her now but when he didn't come on her even after 2 minutes, Akshara looked at him in a shock. He is sitting at the edge of his seat and looking at someone hitting the other person on the screen with great interest.
"What the hell?" She pinched him again but still she gets no response from him. It looks like that nobody exist in this world for him apart from that stupid movie. During the whole movie he royally ignored her. He didn't even bat an eyelash when she went to the washroom without telling him. It's like he didn't know she was here with him. She is super angry right now.
After the torturous 2.5 hours the movie came to an end. Abhi is super happy after the movie. It is just like he has imagined. This is one of the best cinematic experience of his life. He looked at his girlfriend happily. "Wow, what a fantastic movie this is! The best movie of my life", he gleefully told her.
Akshara scrunched her forehead and emptied the entire glass of cold drink on his head. "Absolutely fabulous movie", she angrily told him and marched out from the hall. Abhi looked at her in confusion.
"Ab maine kya kiya? Issey kya ho gya?" Abhi mumbled and put the glass on the ground. His white shirt is ruined with coke. He didn't understand what just happened now!
