PERCABETH AU!!! OFC I JUST LOVE THESE, SO THATS WHAT I'M WRITING TODAY.

ANNABETH POV

The bitter New York air blew at my winter coat. It was freezing, but yet I was still required to go to work. Don't get me wrong, I love my job. It's just that sometimes the hours can be a little strenuous. For example, I had just gotten off after working from 7 to 5. I know it could be worse, but it's hard to juggle a social life and a full time job when you work long hours. I'm the assistant manager at Top Architecture which means that I get all the work nobody else can handle. (Crappy name ik. I just had a brain fart okay!) You probably already knew that though. My mom happens to own another architectural firm, but she claimed that she couldn't hire me because she would be "biased." So, when I walked in to my favorite coffee shop, I didn't expect to see the hottest guy I'd ever seen working the register.

Percy. That's what his name tag read. He had messy black hair and sea green eyes. He was very tall, and by the looks of it, muscular too. He had a dopey grin plastered on his face as he called across the room, "Welcome to Sally's Coffee!"

I smiled at him before walking up to the counter. I ordered my usual- a vanilla frappe with extra whipped cream and a white chocolate drizzle. What? After a long day a girl needs her sugar and caffeine.

After ordering I quickly found an empty booth and sat down. I pulled out my laptop and decided to start working on my next big project. I had to design an office space to accommodate at least 50 workers but also fit on a 2 acre lot. It wasn't that big of a challenge, but the customer was very picky. This was the third time I have had to redraw his plans. At first, there weren't enough bathrooms, then there were too many bathrooms. Personally, I wanted to just punch him, but like I've always been told, the customer is ALWAYS right.

I didn't get much done before my coffee had been brought out. "Order for Annabeth!" A masculine voice called.

"That's me," I said as I hurried up to the counter. I tried to contain my blush as Percy handed me the coffee. After getting my coffee I returned to my work.

I spent about an hour working on the plans before someone came up behind me. "Watcha working on?" I quickly turn to see Percy standing there smirking at me.

"Just these plans for a small business."

He looked down at my blueprints. "I don't think I could ever do that," he said. "Too many numbers and angles and other stuff."

I laughed. "Good thing you have a job here."

"Yeah! I actually really like working here. You see, my mom owns this restaurant, so I've worked here as long as I can remember. I recently graduated from college with a degree in Marine Biology so I'm currently applying for jobs and all that other stuff."

"Oh," I said. "Sounds like an interesting career. Any luck yet?"

He sighed. "No, but this really great company is supposed to get back to me soon."

We talked for a bit more before I had to go. As I'm getting up to leave he asks, "Hey Annabeth, can I get your number?"

"Sure." I quickly scribble it down on a napkin before rushing out the door to catch a taxi.

Later, as I'm sitting on the couch in my apartment, I get a message.

Unknown Number: hey! this is annabeth right?

Annabeth: Hey! This is Annabeth right? And to answer your question, depends on who's asking.

Unknown Number: you should know that it's percy. i'm hurt wise girl.

Annabeth: Wise Girl? That's a new one. Yes, it is Annabeth, Seaweed Brain.

Percy: phew! im not texting a complete stranger.

Annabeth: How do you know that I'm not a creepy murderer who keeps dead bodies in her closet?

Percy:  eh you don't give off those vibes

Annabeth: Glad to know that I don't give off "those vibes."

Percy: me too! hey, would you maybe possibly want to meet up tomorrow? like a date???

WAIT?? DID PERCY JACKSON JUST ASK ME ON A DATE?

Annabeth: Sounds great! I'm off tomorrow, so I can make whenever.

Percy: 11 in the park by my mom's restaurant?

Annabeth: Sounds great! See you there!

Percy: See you!

My brain took a minute to process the fact that, tomorrow, Percy and I would be going on a date. Immediately I thought as to what I was going to wear. I didn't let my mind wander for too long. After all, I still have work to finish. I hauled my but off the couch and to my desk before sitting down to start working.

*time skippidy dippidy (he's named Dave) >_<**

The next day.

After waiting for what felt like eternity, I checked my watch. 11:24. Somebody's late. I was about to leave when a flushed Percy came running up to me. "You're late."
"Sorry, I overslept." He genuinely looked sorry, so I decided to give him a second chance.
"You're lucky I don't have somewhere to be." I said. "Otherwise I wouldn't have waited."
"Well, let's not keep you waiting any longer," he says as he takes my hand and leads me down the sidewalk. After a few minutes of walking he leads me into this small restaurant. Demeter's Traditional Cuisine. It looked promising. We got a table next to this beautiful wall of greenery. Soon, a waitress came to take our orders.
"Hello! Welcome to Demeter's! My name is Katie, and I'll be your server today. Can I get you started with something to drink?" I ordered an iced tea, and Percy asked for... a blue coke? Anyways, I just waved it off. Everyone has their own weird obsession.
*time skippy doo da*
It was the end of the date. I was sad to leave, but at least we'd both had a great time. We even set up another date. Wednesday the third. Yes, I was counting down!
*time skippy dippy hippy pippy lippy poo*
Percy and I's second date was even better than the first. We were texting very frequently now. He even called me the other day. I had made a new best friend, and maybe, just maybe, I also found a soulmate.
Ik ik! Cheesy af, but it was fun to write. Sorry for all the time skips! I might go back and take some of them out and add filler, but idk. I did leave it at a spot where I could make a part two, but it wouldn't be bad if I didn't. Sorry for not updating for so long! (Not really I kinda forgot abt this) but still no promises that I'll update regularly.
If you want a part two comment here!
