"Hey baby, you look better. Has Becca been taking care of you ok?" Homelander asked as soon as he reached Becca's house. His tone was gentle, as was his touch as he caressed her cheek, searching her eyes for answers. He didn't want to explicitly ask if she was still acting batshit.

Safia nodded, smiling slightly, "I feel so much better."

Homelander's face relaxed, a sense of relief filling him. "I'm so glad, I was so worried. Had a feeling maybe some girl time would do the fix," he told her, holding her hands in his.

"You were so right,"

Homelander's eyes flicked towards the empty hallway. "Is Ryan up?"

"I think he's getting dressed," Safia responded unsure.

His gloved hand gripped her chin, forcing her to look at him in the eyes. "You know we should really talk about what the doctor said... it's the healthy thing to do."

Safia's smile faded slightly, but she nevertheless she nodded in agreement. "Of course."

Both of their attention turned at the sound of footsteps, turning to see Ryan emerging.

"Buen día niño," Safia greeted, spotting Ryan who immediately rushed towards the woman. The young boy cuddled into her and she wrapped her arms around him in return.

"Cómo estás?" he wondered, smiling up at her.

"Buena, gracias,"

Homelander stepped forward as if expecting Ryan to run to him next. He frowned down at the boy, glancing at his fiancé- he couldn't deny- part of him was jealous. The supe had dropped her off only a couple of days ago and quickly the two of them seemed like two peas in a pod.

"What's going on here?" he quizzed with interest.

"Aunty Saf's helping me with my español," Ryan explained for them, letting go of the hug but still leaning his head into her stomach.

Homelander watched their interaction, somewhat with jealousy but mostly in awe. She looked so motherly, so nurturing and Ryan looked so comfortable. He admired it and couldn't help but think of what a good look on her it was.

"Huh, your 'aunty Saf' is a very good teacher," Homelander complimented curiously, smiling softly at the two. He watched as Safia patted the boys hair comfortingly, whispering for him to go sit at the table as his mom had prepared something special. Ryan wandered off to the table, leaving the two fiancés alone.

"You two are close," the supe stated the obvious.

"He's a great boy, you should be very proud," Safia smiled at him.

Homelander was about to respond, interrupted as Becca called everyone for breakfast. He sat down next to Ryan, staring up at his mother as she held the plate of waffles.

"Mmm..."

"Do you want one or two, buddy?" Becca quizzed Ryan.

"Just one."

"Yeah, just one." John added. Safia could only roll her eyes from her place in the kitchen, stirring her coffee.

"S, pancake?"

"I'm fine with coffee, thank you," she replied, sitting beside Homelander and sipping at her drink.

"You want maple syrup?" Becca asked her son once more.

"Um...

"Yes, please... A little more," the supe answered quickly, watching intently as she poured syrup over his pancakes, "mmm. Thank you. Love it."
